even those credit score monitors, operated by a big group, cannot make their
model exactly match the FICO
This is because the model is sooooooooo complicated.
Just two points here:
1. Quantitatively:
A hard pull is in ur record for 2 years
2. Qualitatively:
More hard pulls are always worse
3. Quantitatively:
U never know how much an extra hard pull will harm ur credit until u

1.有关开checking account是hard pull的问题
至少在Keybank， Chase， HSBC，， PNC不涉及这个问题，我的Chase和keybank都是N
年前直接去local开的，最开始很多当年来的朋友连ssn都没有，也开了；根本没有
credit history一说，何来hard pull不hard pull？；
2.我已经找我的local manager聊了，人说根本没有这么回事...当然也许是因为她希望
大家赶紧开，不会影响的；我估计即使影响credit也就是影响个1%，没显著差异！
如果我说的有错误，希望大家用事实指正~
3.最后，鼓励大家多开checking account，这个跟credit history毫无关系，毕竟是你
存钱进取然后取出你存的钱，不涉及credit，overdraft也会有保护的；完全不像是信
用卡，你是透支后再还，银行有风险的！

我估计你都没看见过真正的credit report是什么样子吧。找时间去看一下你自己的三
家report吧～估计你以后慢慢会了解。现在我们说什么你都认为是个例
前两天一直不太了解你说的keybank这个bonus。刚才看了一下，人家明确说必须在网上
用coupon开户，你在branch开是拿不到$150 bonus的。我刚听说一个朋友网申了，直接
被deny了，但是过几天收到welcome package，莫名其妙开成了。不过他的Equifax被
keybank hard pull了。他最近不打算申请新信用卡，不太在乎hard pull，所以如果能
拿到bonus他就很高兴了
最后再指出一下你关于creidt union的不正确说法。credit union有很多全国性的，而
且一般很保守，你要是有不良历史连加入都不让你加入，别说checking/savings，更别

told them I just find another bank. The section 8 clerk pull out my account

但是现在CC 在还款日之前balance 是0， 写一个cycle 有balance
可否 在Chase里设置 去 Keybank 要钱 提前 还一点 给 Chase
这样算Automatic Payment 吗？
这样2做两次 加上 一次 Debit card 交易 是不是 就可以拿到 Reward了？

after 5 days. I don't know the situation of open the accout online. maybe
you need call them and remind them to send the reward card. I think this
reward card is not the checking account directly related debi card. it
should be apply seperately and it has a annl. fee, which is waived for the
first year.
I have made two autopayments, pay credit card bill using the keybank
routing and accout number. |

楼主可能是新手吧，个人建议先考考古，最好把hard pull弄清楚。
Hard pull是指某公司（一般是银行）强行从某一家信用机构查看了你的信用记录，这
种行为是会对你的信用报告产生影响的。但是具体影响多少，也就是credit sore下降
多少是因人而异的，所以不存在hard pull了多少credit的问题。问出这种问题可能是
要被某些大牛们吐槽的～ |

你确实提出了定义的问题，而且至少给出了结论。Hard Pull的准确定义确实你比我给
的要清楚地对，这对于接下来的讨论和以后的同学看也是一劳永逸的。
我确实是这里的新人，只是感觉很多人一听说所谓的hard pull,就开始退缩，但是不明
白准确定义。我写帖子就是希望大家尽情地去开，而不是以讹传讹的一听说的所谓的“
hard pull"就直接退缩了，而是做下cost and benefit analysis然后再决定。开
checking确实有可能ymmv,但是希望大家自己去认真问，搞清楚准确hard pull的意思，
到底有多hard,再做决定而不是人云亦云。
你开的是什么checking, keybank有两种的，一种稍微premium点，一种普通。
另外我最后一段所谓的“ｔｈｅｏｒｙ”我很不服气为什么没有足够的例证，就否定了
。如果刚来，没有SSN，银行如何pull credit history or report?所以普遍意义上讲

像PenFed，DCU这种credit union，只是要求开个savings，至少存$5，而且这$5只要你
还是成员就取不出来. 你会认为这样子肯定不care your credit history吧？实际上是
100% hard pull
你要是说只用passport不用SSN去branch申的确可以免去hard pull的可能性，但有些
bonus只能网申，branch拿不到。另外banker是否正确把coupon apply也不好说，没有

，我以为寄丢了打电话去问，打了好几次都说管这个的部门已经关门了，后来终于搞明
白这个尊贵的部门只有周一到周五9：30am-5pm上班，后来好不容易和这个部门的客服
说上话，结果说是在网上e-sign了就什么都不用寄了。。我去年买了个表啊！不用寄给
我发邮件说7-10天welcome kit会到是什么意思？我说那行你把我的账号告诉我，没账
号不能sign up online banking，结果客服说电话不安全，要我去local branch找他们
要，我说这尼玛是什么事啊，我在网上开还得去local branch要账号，结果那sb客服支
支吾吾什么都说不出来，说不能邮寄welcome kit，也不能电话里说，也不能email，只
能去local branch。。我说是不是每个人都这样，他还是说不出个所以然。没办法，不
能白搭一个hard pull，还是去了branch，结果branch manager说这个不能给你，你得

个银行账户的朋友可以看看。通过自己账户推荐（email或者打印coupon），自己得50
，被推荐人得200刀。自己和LD一起搞的话可以得250（晕）。不好的地方是需要DD，而
