因为我在KDE上task-bar也是auto-hide，在windows上task-bar也是auto-hide。
Remmina全屏的时候，鼠标走到桌面最下方首先唤起的是KDE的task-bar。
而这个task-bar有被Remmina全屏遮住在下面，所以什么都看不到。
我试验把KDE的task-bar改成always visible，这样就可以唤起windows的taskbar了。
这里的原因是：Remmina不截获KDE的鼠标或键盘事件。
比如这个鼠标唤起task-bar的事件，既是KDE的事件，也是windows的事件，
Remmina不截获它，把它传给KDE了，结果windows的task-bar就不能唤起。
如果KDE的task-bar设为always visible，那么这个事件就不是KDE事件了，
这个事件就被Remmina传给windows，唤起了windows的taskbar.
Ctrl+Alt+Arrow在Remmina时好用也是一个道理。
另外Alt+Tab，这个组合既是KDE也是windows切换程序的事件，

发帖数: 273 | 3 我两台机器都有gnome和kde， kde慢一点， firefox和thunderbird在kde下爱crash，
kde下调整外接显示器很麻烦， 不能记住以前的设置每一次都要重新设置，而且重新设
置的时候像死机了一样。
kmail死满死满，比evolution还慢， 我虽然都不用但是还是体验了一段时间。
knetworkmanager就是一个joke，经常出现登录以后不连无线，怎么搞都不行。
gnome的东西work的就是work，不work的就是不 work， kde的work的有时候不work，不
work的永远不work。
adobe reader在kwin下也是很慢很慢。
dolphin的网络功能徒有其表， 经常莫名其妙 unmount 网络， 不同机器之间文件夹
融合更是一次都没有成功过。 nautilus 从来没有类似的问题。
konqure （大概这么拼吧） 从来没有成功打开过sina， firefox 又在我的kde下悲剧
了。

发帖数: 17667 | 4 KDE5 4.9照样是没法用，太多问题了， 稳定性也很差。 到现在还在用kbuntu 14.04,
KDE4基本就是顶峰，功能强大，兼容性强。话说unity, cinnamon, 和 Mate到现在了，
很多十几二十年前的基本功能还他妈没实现，真不知干什么吃的，一天到晚哗众取宠。
但是 KDE5不一样了，自己搞出来的时候基本就半成品，好多KDE4的功能都要么消失了
，要么不稳定，很多KDE4上就存在的app还没有移植到KDE5. 习惯多年的多桌面也不行
了，说是强制改成activity, 但好歹你把以前桌面功能实现全了再强制吧，有没有新
feature我们都能忍，旧feature消失就太招恨了。和 GTK以及Gnome的开发者又都谈崩
了，与他们的很多东西不兼容。总之系统莫名crash不断，不能忍了, bug report 之后
就是各方扯皮，自己fix吧，问题在上游，难道我自己把所有软件都fork出来... 中文
输入则更是一塌糊涂，fcitx以前弄挺轻松的，现在费劲才弄好，唉结果最终还是决定

我觉得kde跟gnome的区别就是不同的window manager加不同的panel.
大可以装kde得面板跑gonme的程序。
再说了，有什么程序事kde/gnome专有的？有是有，但不好用也没人用。除了文件管理
器。
www->firefox, multimedia->mplayer, text->vi, doc->oos，这些随便那个平台都能
用吧，包括xfce4。
所以看大家争论来争论去这个kde/gnome觉得纳闷哦 |

KDE = windows 7, GNOME looks more like XP level GUI.
However, KDE 4.3 is very incomplete. I would wait for KDE 5, at least all
the legacy applications should have been ported over.
And the small bugs in kwin as the composite manager would be ironed out. |

the links you see in your "start" menu come from two places:/usr/share/applnk
and ~/.kde/share/applnk. by default, all the KDE controls are available at
/usr/share/applnk/Settings/. move that whole directory to
/root/.kde/share/Settings should do the trick.

就是重复建设
比较好的模式是：KDE, Gnome 管 desktop, control center, gadget 那些东西
大的 apps 还是独立开发，分别提供 KDE, Gnome binary 和 hookup。
就算 apps 只提供单方面的 KDE or Gnome binary，还是可以同时运行的
这样才能集中力量，避免重复劳动 |

Kde is the worst. Everytime there is a new release, I give it a try. It let
me down in 10 minutes.
It looks nice but barely usable. You click the main menu wait 30 second for
its repond. I can open firefox but can not close firefox. Same for
thunderbird. Kde's owe web browser is so bad and kmail is super slow.
And it takes 1 minute or so to just log out. Just crazy. |

也同时加载GNOME的任务条。所有的东西都是双份，一份
GNOME，一份KDE，叠加在一起；KDE是半透明的在上边。

on windows is a project of porting KDE-based application to windows.
But I am quite sure you will get most KDE features on Windows via this.
It is even possible to replace windows shell (called 'explorer.exe') with
its 'plasma-desktop.exe'.

kde的窗口很难看，像以前的motif。
taskbar上也没有窗口预览。
最炫酷的desktop cube animation也没有了。
上次的系统是有的啊，也不知道是出了什么问题。
还有字体也不对，以前chrome里面字体不错的啊。
怎么每次装都不一样啊。奶奶的。

以后,出来的几个目录,看上去象安装完毕的样子.看上去
挺好,不用我亲自编译了. 直接键入kde,
出来几个错误信息,一看知道是库文件找不到.其实都在kde下面的
lib目录里面.以前也经常碰到这个问题,我采取的笨办法就是把
所有产生的库文件(.a, .so, ...)都考到/usr/lib里面去(我
有root的权限,但是不想把什么软件都装到root的目录里去).但是现在
/usr的partition已经装满了. 有没有什么办法让程序去按照我
规定的路径去找库文件呢?比如说在我的.cshrc或.login里面能
不能加两句? 怎么加呢? |

有没有用OpenSuse的大虾？我在KDE桌面下，点开始
菜单（蜥蜴头），选择电源按钮，里面有log out,
lock screen,power off 等等，一旦选择了lock screen，
这机器就完旦了，症状就是等logout之后，再想login进
入图形desktop, 机器慢得无法使用，几十分钟才能完
成login过程，然后点一下鼠标需要十几分钟才见反映，
非得重装操作系统。这问题我从10.1到13.2都中过招儿，重
装过不下5次。有没有人遇到过类似问题，可知道解决办法？

XIM 也改了， QT_MODULE也改了
在kde的程序中单击右键倒是有ibus的选项作为IM，但是就是无法输入

I had spent a good few days reading on KDE developer's blogs, it seems to be
a much more organized community effort than the hapless GNOME.
Makes me hate the distro in US. They can pool their resources together
behind KDE, and they have to choose GNOME because the damn thing is made-in-
USA.

The only advantage that kubuntu has over other KDE distro is it is easy to
install GNOME based ubuntu softwares. sudo apt-get install.
For KDE/qt softwares, it is as easy to install it under opensuse, and it
doesn't involve terminal! You go to webpin (package.opensuse.org) , search
for the software, then, use the 1 click install!
kubuntu has PPA, and opensuse has OBS(open build service) too. |

ubuntu might be popular, but a wide range of best softwares are still under
KDE.
Ever used choqok? Best twitter client. :)
KDE softwares are usually better designed and far more polished.
And why ubuntu is popular? because of PPA.
I said opensuse has its own "ppa" too. I haven't seen anything that only has
kubuntu ppa, but no opensuse obs yet. |

事情是这样的，我有一台Desktop，一台笔记本。我的Ubuntu装在一个eSATA的移动硬盘
上的。这样我把移动硬盘插在哪台机器上都可以用。而且正好两台机器都是用的nVidia
的显卡，所以显卡驱动也完全通用。
但是，我的问题是，我的Desktop有两个显示器，笔记本只有一个。我试过Kubuntu 9.
10，如果我设置两个显示器，不论我怎么设，把硬盘插在笔记本上都起不来。KDE总抱
怨有一个显示器它找不到。
但是GNOME没这个问题，Ubuntu9.10，我在Desktop上把它设成TwinView（nVidia X
Server Settings里面），插到笔记本上仍然正常启动，而且就自动只用一个显示器了。
各位老大有什么办法可以解决这个问题么？ |

我的目的是在现有的Ubuntu11.04上安装一个KDE，就是想玩一下界面。
我现在的系统是Windows7和Ubuntu11.04 dual boot。
我不想要compile from source package，太复杂，怕搞不定。
我下载了Kubuntu11.04，ISO文件。
请问这个怎么安装呢？
我在windows下有虚拟光盘的软件，原来的ubuntu就是这么安装的。
可不可以这样安装Kubuntu11.04呢？这样会不会把原来的Ubuntu冲掉呢？ |
