Amateur Photographer interviewed Mr. Hiroshi Kawahara from Fuji. And he
confirmed that “Fujifilm technicians are seriously investigating the
possible launch of a full-frame compact system camera (CSC) and are focusing
on the sensor and processor that would be required.” Mr Kawahara also
confirmed that “the covering circle of Fuji’s current X-series lenses is

Hiroshi Kawahara from Fujifilm told a completely different story to dpreview:
It has also moved to quell suggestions that its XF lenses are ready for a
full-frame X-mount camera. 'It would not work - XF lenses could not be used
with a full-frame sensor,' said Hiroshi Kawahara, operations manager of
Fujifilm's product planning division. |

n December 16th Fuji Manager Mr. Kawahara said in this interview “if user
demand FF, really, I want to hear the reason why.” Well, it seems that the
reasons to put an FF sensor in the X-PRO2 did not convince the company.
In fact, the trusted Japanese source just told me that the X-PRO2 will
feature an APS-C sensor. At the moment, I do not have more details about it.
