没有多久，我就回到了西雅图。
沉静了一段时间，有一天，Jim来email说有了个电话面试的机会，是在Real
Network.
我很高兴，说太好了，这回咱哥们又可以见面了。而且我一直在做video encoding
方面的，就帮着他摸了摸这里的行情。
他来的时候我却正好要回国，就错过了。
回来的时候，他说，没有得到offer。
我问，怎么会呢，不是Jukebox组吗？
他说，那个念Jukebox啊？
原来他给念成了Junkbox.
难怪没有offer.
他说要专程到西雅图来看我。
我觉得肯定是有什么话要和我讲，就说好，你周末来吧。
他坐着Greyhound来了。我们去西雅图总站接他。
看他憔悴了许多，我挺不好受的。
他递给我一瓶红酒，说免税痁买的，挑了个年份最早的，应该是越早的越好。
ＢＴＷ，这个向Ｖ叔请教一下，是不是这么回事？我总觉得不一定。
我和女友带着他去某餐馆吃了一顿，一边挺不好意思地说，这里最好的中餐在温哥
华也就二三流。
记得在温哥华的时候，Jim带我去一个Broadway上的午餐buffet。有海鲜的才$6.95。
大得像舞厅，几百个人同时吃。

出来，但是不太会展开。如果光靠想象力，瞎加东西，面试很容易乱。比如把
motorcycle, bus加进来，就有些乱。万一面试官问，一个parking space装两个motor
更efficient,怎么办？马上刚刚设计的数据结构就完蛋了。。
还有英语限制，比如blackjack, 如果说不上来deck,suit这些术语，就完了。还有
music jukebox, 俺都不知道是啥样的东西。
还有做presentation能力，和心理素质也有些限制，不太会吹。
大家有木有啥建议？刚刚被老易撕破窗户纸，可发现自己看到的还是屋檐。 |

另关于mp3 encoding, lame和blade是两个非常好的mp3 encoding engine,
相比之下, xing encoder简直象P一样烂, 尤其是在低K的时候. cdex含lame,
另也可到其竹叶down blade's dll, 好象jukebox含blade, 但我一直是用cdex,
just good.
至于kbps, 128之类是不能听的, 据说256与cd裸听就没什么区别了, 但我在
192上就觉得完美了.有哥们儿用320压了GNR's use ur illusion, hmm, 棒得
奢侈啊. |

mp3有质的飞跃，并不是说他容量大，以前创新的creative的jukebox早就用上硬盘了，
苹果强在方便的操控和外形。 现在ipod也没创意了，国内有大把mp4，mid产品，随身
听市场应该已经是各取所需。手机iphone占了touch的先手，但是现在google，ms势头
很猛，介入厂商很多，iphone不可能复制ipod当年的效应。至于现在很期待的slate市
场，这个苹果根本不会有什么机会，一个是价格，一个是门槛太低，一有风吹草动业界
就冒出这么多slate，马上就会形成像PC对mac的局面。现在用iphone的也没必要当卫道
士，电子产品而已，淘汰很快，当年不可一世的walkman都没落了，何况ipod/iphone. |

最流行的解决方法：重装！
自己的软件不识自己的产品，为毛还要让用户重装你家的软件，还要按照顺序卸载重装
，有木有！
苹果除了搞设计，剽窃了bsd的内核，难道工程师都在吃s**t，尼玛！
发个牢骚，其实ipad，iphone可以用cloud drive 传文件，ipod可以刷jukebox。就是
觉得苹果有时真的很Cao蛋。乔布斯估计十有八九是给工程师们气死的。 |
