more than an opinion, and probably is a biased one. It may be best kept to
himself.

我做过review和审计，感觉叫一个虚无缥缈，就是按规定的程序做一遍,留下记录，我
自己都不知道是在干嘛。好像就是不停的要客户解释为什么今年的数和去年的有变化，
然后去翻翻他们的系统，原始凭证是不是支持他们的说法。还有盘存货，发银行函证什
么的。说是查客户的账有没有问题吧，其实一般也查不出什么，最多就是点
reclassification，accrual之类的（当然多半是因为我水平有限），搞那么多事其实
就是做好记录，证明自己该做的都做了，万一出事能把自己摘干净。什么审计准则，基
本就是抽象性指导，完全不像税法那么详细具体。我个人觉得审计太依赖professional
judgment，其实就是经验，小菜鸟看不到big picture，不知道自己在干什么。
我做审计实在是迷茫得不行了，觉得审计更像是一种艺术，就像什么transfer pricing
,估价之类的，没有太多的guide line,即使有都是很原则很空泛的指导。具体要怎么做
可能每个人的做法都会不一样，比如测existence，都有不同的方法，根据风险大小和

很多“四大”的审计人员，不管是主管合伙人还是下面的经理，高级审计师或普通审计
师，连他们自己专业内的知识都没吃透，就来审计，被客户管理层一顿侃，就无言以对
了。“四大”名不符实啊！而可气的是这些审计人员以“四大”自居，很是摆谱，一点
都不谦虚，直到被客户方以更高深、更专业的会计知识压制方休。我在前个贴子已经说
了，如果审计别人的对会计知识和被审计公司不熟悉，不理解，如何有效审计，还不是
走过场？完成所谓的documentation完事。从这个意义上说，现在现实生活中的审计就
是个玩笑。我在另一个贴子里也说了，我们对税务团队是很尊敬的。不为别的，就是他
们有兢兢业业的态度和非常实际的态度，而不是因为他们和我们站在一起，来对抗IRS

matters. I have said this: you don't need reputation to fight dishonesty,
all you need is evidence.
There is the issue of proportion. Everyone is imperfect some way or other.
You can't just nitpick someone ('s wife?) with a magnify glass and declare
him moral bankruptcy once you find imperfection no matter how trivial it is.
Those who pick Fang are not really interested in fighting academic

(a) Boston, Massachusetts bills itsself "Hub" (with a capital H), much like
China calling itself 中國, which foreigners take to mean "center of the
universe."
(b) Boston Globe as a practice refers to people by last name, after printing
