感觉还不错。但是对St Jude还真是不太了解，只知道St Jude的funding主要来源于
charity donations，所以想请教一下在那里工作或者熟悉这个医院的同学，和大学里
的medical center相比：1 St Jude的salary和benefits怎么样？2 工作稳定吗，压力
大吗？3 Memphis这个城市怎么样？

发帖数: 10109 | 12 You didn't mention pharmacology and PK/PD of St Jude, which I personally
think are pretty strong. Above all, St Jude is in very very good financial
situation. The cash reserve for average hospital in US can keep the hospital
operating for 7-10 days (worst case, without any revenue, income etc). For
St Jude, it's almost half year.
But again, you will have to decide whether you like the city of memphis or
not. |

Both titles are staff positions. There are many postdoc positions at St.Jude as well.
Career ladder as a staff at St. Jude for Ph.D. goes from Senior Research
Technologist---Research Lab Specialist(Ph.D. plus 4 full year experiences)--
-Associate Scientist(Ph.D. plus 9 full year experience)
As to whether you can be independent, you have to discuss with your boss in
the lab see if he/she will support you. |

外差别大不大。 St Jude对国内患者也免费吗? 同学是大学老师，也没多少钱。现在没

‘Alfie’翻拍自1966年的同名电影，讲述一个英国帅小伙在纽约的风流生活。影片中
，男主人公自己陈述，自己演出，很多时候是独角戏，对于演员陈述台词，表现情感要
求不低。
个人认为，Jude让人惊艳的是另一部片子‘Sleuth’，整部影片只有2个人物，1栋现代
风格的房子。不是大制作，故事却讲得好。
值得一提的是‘Alfie’和‘Sleuth’都和另一位演员有关——Michael Caine。
Jude law在这2部影片里扮演的角色原先都是由此位演员扮演。在‘Sleuth’中，
Michael Caine(此前的角色由大名鼎鼎的Sir Laurence Olivier扮演)和裘德演对手戏
，看着2个人飙戏，十分过瘾。 |

尤其是演唱会的时候，曲调和歌词简单重复，很快就把人带进去了，到最后na na na的
时候，大家都可以跟唱，气氛越烘越好，好像全场都在给Jude鼓劲，又仿佛每个人都是
Jude。 |

无条件向社会公布，所有得癌症的孩子都能从他们的研究中获益。
做了妈妈之后， 读着那些得癌症的小朋友的故事，每次读都想哭。这个医院接受小额
捐款，$10, $20都可以， 有时会给你寄一些address tag,可以用在信封上。 有时会寄
来一张空白的Note, 希望你写一些鼓励的话给他们的小病人。
今天读到一个叫Scout的两岁小女孩，曾经full of energy, 有一天开始无精打采，只
愿意坐着，直到有一天她不能走路了， 她才被送到医院， 被诊断出是stage IV
Neuroblastoma. 现在手术结束，she is full of energy again， 但是其实情况很不
乐观， 因为stage IV是很晚期了， 她还有很长的化疗要做。

小弟是化学的，和cancer沾一点边，申请这个医院和肿瘤相关的postdoc，被HR的同志告

100%拿到offer意味着你会收到一份Offer Package, there is an Offer Letter in it
告知你bonus, 应该是底薪的一个百分比. 比方base salary 12万, 30% bonus (up
limit), 你可领到3.6万奖金
St Jude Med这样的公司每个职位都会有奖金，只是百分比不同。

不过在telephone面试的时候悲剧了。地点是不敢恭维，但考虑到相对的稳定性，其实
值得考虑。有朋友在那儿拿到过博厚的offer，比NIH的guideline高不少。 |

我不是做药方面的，对那个方向不是很了解。但肿瘤，生化，分子方面也就那么回事。
因为我曾经对那很感兴趣。他的儿童肿瘤全美第一，不过我不知道是科研呢还是治疗。
要看文章，我觉得St Jude 不如辛辛那提儿童医院。但他们对博后的待遇是辛辛那提不
能比的。

Texas children is #6, 费城的那个儿童医院好像是第三。
但是小儿血液肿瘤排名第一的是St Jude.医院太富啦，剧多的private donation. |
