、第3的WR（第一WR就是著名的黑贝克汉姆，应该是野猪家的了）。上一次我鳄同时拿
到2个全国TOP3的WR，还得追溯到2006年的no.1 Percy Harvin和no.3 Jared Fayson；
再上一次则是2003年的no.1 Andre Caldwell和no.2 Chad Jackson。
2006年是MEYER第一次完整招生年，抓来两大WR还算不错，Jared Fayson还能打QB，当
然后来转校去猪哥那是后话了。07年开始照理说MEYER招生进入鼎盛时期，可是在WR位
置上每年都是雷声大雨点小：
07年追求密歇根州出产的能打WR/CB的no.1 Ronald Johnson，还有德州才俊Terence
Toliver,以及本州快马Deonte Thompson，一时口气很大啊。我当时确实YY了把三人都
囊括的情形，最后RoJo去了宇宙队，TT留在离家更近的LSU，就搞定了本州的DT，五年

大概就在10来天以前，我狮给COHEN发奖学金了。这孩子很有兴趣，给马里兰的教练打
电话，说想来我狮VISIT一下，但仍然STAY COMMITTED，他以前来过2次，对我狮不算陌
生。但MARYLAND比较TOUGH，说如果你去，你就不算COMMIT了。于是COHEN就说，那我就
DE-COMMIT吧。
由于现在处于DEAD PERIOD，一直到1月中旬才结束，所以COHEN基本确定在1月24号那个
周末来STATE COLLEGE。
我现在觉得我狮弄到这个四星孩子的可能性比较大。如能搞到，对OL这个极其缺人的位
置来说真是久旱甘露啊。 |

一年一度的Barkley Marathons又落下了帷幕，和去年只有两人完成Fun Run且无人最终
完赛的平淡结果相比，无论是Jared Campbell最终成为了Barkley有史以来的第一位三
次完赛选手， Gary Robbins与幻觉苦苦搏斗直至止步在距终点仅十英里之地，还是
John Kelly在第四圈关门前一刻钟才拖着疲惫透支的身体到达，又分秒不停决然悲壮地
出发那注定不可能被完成的最后一圈，今年的这场赛事无疑更值得人们回味。从1988年
起被沿用至今的著名标语“The Race That Eats Its Young”今年被换成了“Where
Dreams Come to Die”，咋看绝望挫败之感溢于言表，可细细体会却也不尽然。
今年唯一的完赛者Jared Campbell一到达终点就被各路媒体和此起彼伏的闪光灯重重包
围，而1988年，当Barkley历史上的第一位完赛者Edwin Furtaw冲过终点线时，等在那
里的只有Carl的老婆Cathy和她的两个孩子。组织者Gary和Karl开车去补给站取包裹去

发帖数: 401 | 50 我们这次去supai，同行的共有七个人，我，大个子，法国小帅哥G，Farid，Jared，还
有我们的资深工程师Robert和他太太Ann。七个人兵分三路，准备12号清晨5点半在
supai trail head的parking lot碰头， 然后一起开赴Havasupai。我和大个子是开车
过去的，11号晚上就睡在supai的parking lot，作为先遣部队。G, Farid和Jared坐11
号晚上11点的飞机从弯区飞到Las Vegas，再连夜开三个小时车，于黎明十分赶到trail
head向我们报道。Robert和他太太属于比较有米的，他们坐11号下午一点的飞机到LV
，再租车开到离trail head不远的小镇Peach Springs，住在那里的旅馆里，第二天早
上再开车到trail head来与我们碰头。
Havasupai在印地安语里是蓝色水的意思，因那里美丽的瀑布而得名。它位于Grand
Canyon NP南面的峡谷内，是美国仅剩的两个之一还用骡子送信的地方。每天去supai的
人数是有限的，所以一定要事先预定。我们订得有些晚了，所以只订到一晚。
