while his opening when both vul 1st seat is, hmm, a bit light but fine -- 1C
would be conceivable, as you really need 4S from pd to make it 4S to have good
play in a marginal hand -- the rebid of 4S was certainly off, given that he
had a singleton and A in oppo's trump, and you have only a guaranteed 8
trumps. He just has to remember the simple rule: doubleton in oppo suit
suggests for defense, and much more so if one of them is an honor.
