those were just first batch of ivs to those super competitive candidates for
prematch slots.

I am easily get tired from traveling (not too bad though), so, I would like your suggestions about the scheduling. I don't think I will get a lot of IVs, so that I need to take every chance seriously.
Is one IV per week workable?
I need to focus on CK exam in Oct and maybe early Nov, so that I prefer to schedule all my potential IVs afterwords. Will Dec OK for cold city like Wisconsin?

have to wait till next Tuesday. You can always cancel it later if you have
too many invitations and do not want to go some of them. In addition, you
never know when the programs close to your home will send out IVs. Can not
afford such a waiting.

Some programs send out more invites than their interview slots. If you don't

available date is the end of Jan, which seems like their second latest
dates for all ivs. This program gives prematch to most of their position,
not even sure if it worth going or not :(

我他们学校去年没有一个人申请neuro,而这一届有9个。该校今年毕业生300人左右。

Not the earlier, the better. Practice on the first a few which are not your
best choices. They prefer to give pre-match after they have seen some
applicants.

感觉今年网上的气氛与往年大不相同。往年这时候，不论是IVs还是Rejs都已经是长长
的一串了但今年基本没人报。我过去把申请的PG分为几类：别人接到IV而我没有的，说
明这个PG我没戏；别人接到Rej而我没有的，说明这个PG我还有戏，于是赶紧去骚扰。
那是不是鲜有人接到IV呢？非也！只是不愿说出来而已。IM我不太清楚，但病理10月一
开始就有大量的IVs从大学programs涌向CMG，有不少是Top Program。我想今年的形势
至少不比去年差。
问题是IM招的多，报的也多，每个program都能收到3000到5000，发300到500的IVs。据
我了解的一些情况，program会把AMGs和突出的挑出来发IVs，把不合胃口的filter掉发
Rejs，剩下的会放在那里作备用，看到哪算哪，很难全看。所以说适时的骚扰必要的，
不管他结果如何。而且直接到付PD,因为如果PD是名人，只会挂名，也不找PC，因为她

share.. The year before last, I applied 110 programs selected from a
commercial list called matcharesident.com. It seemed that I just got one IV.
Apparently, I was in a rush the first time. The second times, fully
prepared(a couple of rotations in IMs, radiology, pathology),I got 8 ivs,
cancelling 3(One malignant FM and preli surgery in small community hospital

program, every day, there will be some cancelled IVs. Does it mean that we
should call each program for cancelled IVs? Let us take one step back. Even
some programs appreciate a phone call. Does it backfire if we mention the
person who cancel the IVs?
A better idea is to identify those programs who appreciate a phone call or a
phone call could put you higher in waiting list. At least I know that IM

help here.
From my personal experience, some programs were very polite, congratulated
to my pre-match, and told me that although they have their own selection
criteria, but there are happy to take a look of my friend's application...
those counted 1/2 of the program i called.
Some other programs really showed no interests by saying: we have our own
selection criteria/ long waiting list......

both pathology and neurology. Your match probability is 1-(0.7x0.6), which
is about 0.6. However, if you have 4 IVs in one speciality, your probability
reaches around 0.75. Internal medicine needs more IVs to reach that level.
So, if you can get 4-5 IVs in each specialty, then multiple specialities
will help me increase the matching probability. Otherwise, focus on one

They are tricky with links, but some nice deals on brand rain boots. I have
never priced rain boots before I ran a Target thread about a week back, and
there was a bunch of people cancelled on Hoping this helps them-there are
some pretty nice styles for the $25 bucks. Hard to price shop these as they
arent widely available. But Victoria Safari and Leopard seems pretty pricey
(90+) elsewhere.

from other regions. I think the IV list is quite good. I didn't expect so
many CMGs need Visa.
