发帖数: 293 | 14 我们在芝加哥地区，现在在看房子。小孩快到入学年龄了，我们看房的地方高中都很好
，小学也都不差。我们的agent推荐我们用http://iirc.niu.edu比较学校。我们看的几个地方小学Composite Percent Meets and Exceeds ISAT Assessment基本上都是90以上，远高于State average，但是不同小学分数差别还是挺大的，有的每年都90出头，有的每年都96到98。是不是说分数高的小学基本上比分数低的要好？还是要看其他的一些东西，例如是不是diversified，课外活动等。个人觉得好像小学的分数也没有那么重要，而且班上多几个人不meet ISAT assessment对自己小孩也影响不会太大。不知道自己理解是不是正确。是不是看房的时候，只要小学差不多就行了，没有必要追求分数最高的小学。
我们小孩小，没有亲身经历，所以想问问版上有大小孩的父母。十分感谢！ |

achievement tests.
The Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) measures individual student
achievement of grade 3-8 relative to the Illinois Learning Standards. The
Prairie State Achievement Examination (PSAE) measures the achievement of
grade 11 students.
The results give parents, teachers, and schools one measure of student
learning and school performance.

放中国就是高考成绩，放数据帝的台湾也是高中联考的成绩。
郊区学校本来就是COMMUNITY的PUBLIC SCHOOL，不需考试录取，最后的20%学生本来就
比那些考试录取的学校差（这个可以参考ISAT的排名，因为ISAT是看及格率）。在这种
情况下，最后毕业生的ACT平均成绩还比那两个排前几名的CPS学校强很多，只能说那些
学校前面那部分的学生太烂了。
只能说明一点,AA培养出的学生是没有实力的。NORTH SIDE COLLEGE PREP，就因为在
NORTH SIDE，黑人西人少，所以还算一致。
数据帝很推崇的LANE TECH，是个大学校，和NAPERVILLE CENTRAL差不多人。
排名倒是很前，州立第六名，比NAPERVILLE CENTRAL高10名，但是ACT成绩差一截，被
UIUC录取的学生数也差一截。这就是差距。
这就是买学区房的依据。
你再分什么GROUP A，B，C，D也没有用。ACT，SAT成绩是硬道理。好大学录取是硬道理。 |

（虽然我已经看不懂她在看的是啥内容，但是肯定是小说类闲书）。
我推着小推车走来走去哄老二睡觉的时候就见图书馆里的桌子上
东一摊西一摊几乎都是老印带娃，
都在看大部头的MATH／READING／SCI的书。
我也不甘人后，跑REFE架子那想挑两本给老大，
结果被几个老印女人挤的没下脚地儿，只能放弃。

't have to spend million dollars in house to bring their kid into a good
school as long as their kids can get high score in ISAT.
Actually, lots of poor parents in chinatown area are proud of their kids
because of their performance. In califoria, most of those kids have to go to
poor schools because the expensive houses in Palo Alto are not affordable
to them. |

再说，这里评价学校好坏有统一考试，你知道标准么？６０分！你所谓的grad level.就是说...孩子们一个班１００％的学生达到６０分，这个学校就是１０分...你那个grad level是没有意义的，鬼子的标准非常之低。我曾经在公立学校工作过，我很清楚什么叫grad level.:)

其实我觉得初中差一点可以忍受，因为实在不行就去私立，只有三年，也没有高中那么
贵。小学差去私立钱就比较多了。进公立高中还不就是省钱么。虽说小学对孩子的影响

州立的排名主要是看ISAT，这个NAPERVILLE CENTRAL是第16， GELNVIEW SOUTH是第32。
要是看毕业学生的ACT考试成绩，NAPERVILLE CENTRAL是25.2，GLENVIEW SOUTH是24.7 |

公立娃一个班32个人一个老师，一天实际授课时间才几个小时，

公立学校老师有工会保护，某些人上课是应付，

Naperville, if not the best. Spring brook school grade is going back to 10
based on recent ISAT scores pretty soon. The only other comparable one may
be highlands/kennedy/North subdivision. |
