没有promotion的情况下要60多一个月。我前面六个月拿到的是basic cable+internet
promotion 50多块一个月。现在promotion没了，也要不到了，涨到了80多。非常不爽
。对了，comcast的modem每个月要收5块钱租金。

WIN2000和WIN98SE都带了一个叫INTERNET连接共享的工具（Internet
Connection Sharing, ICS），目的是让一个小型SOHO网络可以只用一
根电话线+一个MODEM就能大家都上网。有了它可以在一定程度上取代SYGATE，
WINGATE一类软件了。具体设置：（很象SYGATE）（以WIN2000为例）
1、在真正有MODEM的那台机器上安好MODEM，建好拨号连接，然后打开属性框，
转到Sharing页，将Enable...勾上。笔者在这台机器上用的是WIN2000
2、在没有MODEM，仅通过局域网与有MODEM的机器相连的机器上，打开与网卡
相关的TCP/IP协议属性，将网关和DNS都设成上面那台机器的IP。重启动。
这台机器可以是WIN9X/NT/2000甚至LINUX
现在可以试试先让有MODEM的机器拨号上网，在没有MODEM的机器上打开浏
览器试试。
补充：
WIN2000的这一功能很简单，没有用户限制、记帐等功能，所以并不能说完全取

Dish我当然知道，但是那些Dish是看电视的，广播方式，所有用户收到的数据都相同，
前向纠错，没有反向数据通道。
但是要是做internet的话，这种模式显然是不行的。首先要解决上行数据的问题，家里
就必须安装能上传信号的卫星发射器，这个用那么小的天线几瓦的发射功率显然是不够
的。而且要解决所有用户共享下行通道的问题，全美只要有1万个人subscribe这种卫星
internet，就慢得像蜗牛一样了。。。 |
