意义
server layer的proxy：传统的imp是把load balancer, firewall之类一起放到一个new
instance, 用来做proxy。这个proxy是为什么存在的呢？用local DNS不是已经可以把
host name map to ip，可以用来rotate server之类的，而且可以ip assume。或是为
了hide client/server identity？
data lay的proxy：比如twemproxy是单独的一个new instance，还是一个smart client
library？
总体来说我认为一个new instance的proxy会对perf有影响吧，毕竟是要copy packet好
几次。
而smart client library则又会有update的问题，不像是一个可行的imp
那么到底用proxy有什么场景，以及不得不用的理由么？ |

发帖数: 5958 | 3 最近在国内的青云上部署了个服务，几十个instance，脚本控制机器启动/销毁/负载均
衡，非常傻瓜化根本不需要任何技术。倒是确实是linear scale out，就是instance起
来后钱就开始花花地流了。负载均衡更新的一瞬间会有一批连接失败，但也就是一瞬间
的事情，一般客户端本来就有容错机制，基本不会造成实际的问题。
后来还是我花了几分钟优化了下C++程序，程序性能加倍，instance数立马减半。
开公司的，上云好，容易招人。程序员还是修炼点有技术含量的东西，不容易被取代。 |

差不多是这样滴
by default，vert.x会启动多个threads，根据你具体的cores来建
但是，一个verticle，只能被一个thread执行，在同一个时间点
所以如果你只写了一个verticle，然后启动vert.x去用这个verticle去listen某一个
port
那么虽然vert.x启动了多个threads，但是这个verticle只能被一个thread所执行
所以瓶颈就发生在这里，因为一个thread独占了这个verticle，其他threads就只能干
瞪眼了
也做不了什么事，所以这个时候，需要直接scale out，根据core数量
部署相同数量的verticles，这样多个threads就可以同时listen同一个port了
这个在v3文档中有很清晰的描写

，节点当了一般会马上trigger alert, 这个时候来个人重启一下就好了。我个人觉得
，这是最经济实惠又符合绝大多数工作环境的做法。
如果需要自动fail over，我觉得你前面说的S3是最简单的方法。如果因为种种原因不
允许跟外界通讯，那么次简单的方法就是在instance启动的时候start 一个listening
thread，跟其他instance 通讯。 |

问题在于riak一个instance只支持一个硬盘，而且最小需要4个instance，
所以我每个节点上得跑两个instance。riak start愣是起不来。
现在勉强用riak console跑上了。
现在这些云存储也都是太高大上。现在做存储的机器一台也得十多个T的
裸盘空间吧，一上来就四台机器。有多少人需要那么大的存储？
我现在比较担心riak的吞吐量问题。我需要一遍遍地过几十个million
的object，不知道会不会很慢。(比如和apache跑在文件系统上比？） |
