空缺。
外界普遍认为，目前军委会最资深的共和党议员、来自俄克拉荷马州的詹姆斯·英霍夫
(James Inhofe)接任这一重要职务的呼声最高。
现年83岁的英霍夫被认为是参议院中比较传统的保守派议员，不象麦凯恩那样经常批评
同样是共和党籍的总统特朗普。
跟麦凯恩一样，英霍夫也主张建立和维持一个规模和力量强大的军队，但跟麦凯恩不同
，他不太会在军事预算和杜绝浪费等问题上对军方要求那么严格。如果英霍夫担任参议
院军委会主席，目前已经超过7000亿美元的年度国防开支可能会进一步增加。

舟，引发各界高度关注。美国国会对此出现一面倒的支持声浪，来自佛罗里达州的共和
党籍联邦参议员鲁比奥（Sen. Marco Rubio, R-FL）在接受美国之音采访时称，这是因

美国参院一个跨党派小组周四（8月4日）要求停止美国每年对中国的上千万美元发展援
助。
他们敦促停止一切对华援助，但对藏人和在中国推广人权的援助除外。
他们还要求美国阻止包括联合国在内的组织向中国提供多边援助。
美联社报道，这项呼吁是参议院外交委员会东亚和太平洋事务小组的民主党参议员吉姆

中新网5月12日电 据外电报道，美国中央情报局已经开始向一些国会议员展示“基
地”组织领导人本-拉登的尸体照片。一位议员看到照片后表示死者就是拉登，他说照
片的确非常可怕。
来自俄克拉荷马州的共和党籍参议员英霍夫(James Inhofe)表示，他看到了15张拉
登在2日被美军突击队员击毙后拍摄的照片。
英霍夫在接受采访时表示，他相信这些照片是拉登在巴基斯坦藏身处被击毙后立即
拍摄的，“很是可怕”。

2005年，众议院能源委员会主席、德州共和党人Joe Barton要求三名主张气候变化的科
学家上交所有研究资料、数据、程序源代码、电子邮件、个人财产信息以进行以调查他
们的“学术不端”。
2009年，由于爆发所谓“气候门”，煤炭公司Peabody Energy等机构要求EPA调查弗吉
尼亚大学的Michael Mann的"学术不端"。在共和党参议员Jim Inhofe要求下，美国商业
部和NSF也对Michael Mann进行了调查。
2010年，弗吉尼亚州Attorney General,共和党人Ken Cuccinelli也对Mann启动类似调
查.
EPA和商业部的调查结果是：屁都没有。Cuccinelli的调查甚至被很多共和党人（比如
