我也很钦佩Wong对于美国文化深入的了解，一些段子如果不是对美国文化了解是根本听
不懂的，但是，这样一个那么聪明，努力，敏锐又模仿力很强的人，为什么又有那么黄
的，一看便知道的中国complexion？大家过来留学的人都知道，外貌是完全可以改变的
(参见迈克尔杰克孙），特别是对于这样一个聪明，努力，敏锐，模仿力很强，又是靠
present自己吃饭的人来说，这比文化积淀要容易得多。在Wong成名之后，他完全可以
花点钱，请一个美国plastic surgeon帮助他突击一两个月 (Beverly hills 很多的）
，漂白皮肤，隆高鼻梁，再把亚洲人特有的slant eyes拉拉直，凭Wong的适应力，效果
一定立竿见影。但是，他并没有朝这一方向努力，宁愿让观众看得不爽也不努力地改变
自己的外貌，这是为什么！！！！？？？？？我愤怒，我觉得原因只有一个：那就是
Wong有意识（或是无意识地）展现中国外貌以及段子里中国元素的inferiority，这是
喜剧特性所需要的，也是西方主流意识形态所欢迎的。
