为贵校学子拊膺长太息：足下身为MIT的中国等价物——清华大学的教授，而且还是学

道金斯在牛津大学取得博士学位，在生态学领域声名卓著。他的两本书《自私的基因》
以及《扩展表现型》对进化论贡献不小。他有不少畅销的著作，并经常在媒体上发表言

周末本来是去Black Peak的，星期五早上North Cascades HWY因为洪水关闭，只能临时
另找地方。Stan和John几个星期前刚刚爬过Guye的Improbable Traverse，就提议带我
们去那里，毕竟他们很熟悉路线。那条路线是5.8的，我在网上查了一下，5.8的move只
有2-3个，是balancy move，而且前后都有piton，（对我来说就意味着实在不行可以
aid了），感觉还是可以试试的。问Stan和John路线的rating有多stiff，一个回答说主
要的concern在approach上的一段class 4的friction的scramble，因为刚下了一个星期
的雨，石头上肯定还很潮，另一个说觉得hiking out is the most difficult part，
貌似都觉得climbing本身并不难，于是大家纷纷表示愿意去Guye。
星期天早上7点在North Bend集合，一起开车过去。停车场就在Guye的west face正下方

研究成果 开始时没那么“另类”
为什么科学家要研究果蝠的交配活动呢？张礼标表示，自己是2006年到广东省昆虫研究所工作的，因为硕士、博士期间一直做的就是蝙蝠研究，所以他参加工作后也准备继续做这方面。“刚开始的时候是打算观察果蝠类动物犬蝠（Cynopterus sphinx）的筑巢行为，偶然间发现了交配行为，然后才专门设计实验来研究犬蝠的交配行为的。等到做完实验之后，在统计分析时才发现，犬蝠在交配过程中口部辅助行为较常见。”也就是说，开始时的“筑巢研究”很常规，后来变成了同样比较常规的“动物行为研究”，而“另类”的结果完全是意外。

我一直不明白，在辩控双方的证人都支持被告的情况下，法官如何能给被告定罪。
按我们普通人的理解，基于刑法的无罪推论，只有当控方的理据压倒辩方，法官才有可
能给被告定罪。只有在看到了检察官与法官之间的对话，我才明白，法官的判决其实不
在乎有无证人，也不在乎双方证人说什么，都能给被告定罪的。
检察官对法官说：“如果你先否定被告的呈词，那么，他的证人说什么都没有意义
了！”
法官于是做出以下判决：“虽然被告的证人诚实又有经验，但因为我完全不相信被
告，所以证人为被告辩护的基础不存在。当然，我明白不能因为我不相信被告就给他定
罪，检察官已毫无疑点地证明被告有罪了，我完全相信检察官。因此，我判定，被告罪
名成立！”

的思路上，所以也就难怪留言栏里的质疑不断，很多读者面对铁桶一样密不透风的逻辑
论述，仍然向其猛力衝撞，希望能打出一条裂缝。
事实上，我的分析涵盖了空气动力学、弹道学、电子技术、电力技术、商业宣传、组织
结构、以及军事战术和战略上的考量，本身就很複杂；很多细节的讨论，又零零星星地
分散在留言栏里，所以我想在此爲大家做个总结，顺便设身处地地为不愿接受负面结论
的读者，指出有一丝可能的救赎（Possible but improbable Salvation）方向。
首先开宗明义，这里说的电磁炮就只是轨道炮；綫圈发射装置，如电磁弹射器，已知是
实用的，但原理不同，不适合用来发射Mach 5及以上的高速弹丸。其次，因爲工程问题
