我的个人理解是， education plan 只是 broader impact 的其中之一
broader impact 应该还讨论你这个project 如果做出来了，对其他相关领域，还有实
际的工程/科学问题有益，
我发现很多成功的CAREER PROPOSAL
在summary 里面写 broader impact 的时候 ， 把两方面都写了 （education plan
AND 对其他相关领域带来的可能贡献）
但在正文里面写 broader impact plan 的时候， 都只写 education
请有经验的前辈指教一下 |

大致point如下：
1. air impact wrench有自重和内部特性设计。
2. air impact wrench通常指标是90PSI下的工作状况:
max torque (一般的大号设计reverse >= forward+100，也是最合理直观的设计)
normal torque
NBT torque (some special model has this for Nut butting torque)
avg air comsumption (CFM, 也就相当于用气速率)
3. 通常的250 lb*ft以内的air impact wrench耗气率一般低于2CFM,
高于500 lb*ft的都需要6到8以上的CFM。
4. air compressor有electr.和gas来charge的两种
5. electr. 的air compressor一般供气能力(可以在边充边放保持压强情况下

计没戏了. 当时申请的时候没有做好homework, 不知道NIAID不怎么支持k99, 给的
award很少，竞争也很惨烈，而且R00是两年 （其他的institute都是3年）...........
早知道的话就应该申请别的institute了
我现在有两个选择，想听听前辈们的建议（尤其是做immunology的前辈，或者拿到过
NIAID K99的就更好了）
1. Withdraw NIAID K99, apply for a new K99 from another institute in Feb
2017.

To most people here impact drill = hammer drill.
To a professional to you, there is little difference between them.
Impact drill have more torque than regular hammer drill (which have more
power)
Both have a impact function that can be turned on and off.
Impact driver is a driver, but I am guessing you can use it as a drill too
with the right bit.

个普通的 drive bit， 也没觉着有问题。
Impact的会在包装上标明的。
bits是不是各家通用? 应该说同一个接口标准的，各家通用。 平时买到那些圆杆钻头
都是通用的。
但钻头还有很多不同接口种类， spline, SDS， SDS plus， SDS Max，还有方形的，

一个主编已经给我写推荐信了，他人很好，尽量配合我吹了。我只是愁第五封独立推荐
信如何加强我的impact。
大家的建议让我认识到，我要往其他闪光点上讲contribution,而不是盯在impact上。
比如我是否可以说，我的文章的创新性，基本上很多都是first to examine XXX，填补
了空白。
如果impact非讲不可，那么有一片文章引用比较集中，有2个citations，一个是巴西人
将我的一个概念用于研究公共安全方面。还有一个泰国人把我的这个概念运用在大脑皮
层兴奋研究方面。两个研究八竿子打不着。是否能放在一起讲impact?

但最好一个字都不要变。如果是CAREER Proposal，还蛮重要，最好写三页以上，并且
搞到相关机构的collaboration letters，包括K-12课外活动的合作老师，合作公司的
信，社区大学合作老师的背书等等。最好request一点小钱去cover broader impact相
关的projects。这些都不是必须的，但如果有机会应该更大一些。祝好运！ |

是有道理的。因为传统的含铅弹头，从便宜的core-lokt/fusion,到适合lighter
framed deer的SST/Ballistic-Tip,到penetration和expansion都好的Accubond/
Partition等等，连结构和杀伤机理不同的Berger的猎弹也算上，他们的minimum
impact velocity一般就是1800fps. 弹头以大于等于这个速度命中猎物有效区域，会很
可靠地expansion，获得厂家设计弹头时预期的wound channel,energy transfer
blablabla.......总之尽量快速人道地杀死猎物。即使一些MV/BC双低的口径，打一些
重弹头，自己JBM算一下，也会发现1800fps一般出现在400码+，比如这个308win 180gr
Partition, Velocity在大约450码时掉到1800fps：
