time IDSF comes to the U.S. (sensualgirl and moonraker, correct me if i am
wrong.)
I hope I will be assigned to help VIP/judges/official tables.(I guess VIPs
usually mean retired top dancers.) Or, ushering audience to their seats won'
t be too bad. Collecting tickets would be fine.
I am soooo excited :D
Never thought there was a way to watch the evening session even after
tickets are sold out. Thanks Cfish for the info! |

them a lots. The dance style of those young armature couples are so
fashionable(bad word? :)).
Just noticed there was a Japanese couple always able to enter Slovenia Semi-
Final, it is amazing, isn't it? |

日本方便多
了，当天都可以买到票。PRO们的比赛有ASIAN TOUR可看。

tennis. what's important is the placing in the following major competitions:
blackpool (which has both amateur and professional divisions), idsf world
amateur championships and wddsc world professional championships. winners at

maybe the 2004 IDSF clip distorted their dancing? rachel heron looks so fat
and smagin so short in that 2004 clip. rachel is not fat at all in 2005 clip
and smagin looks taller... |

发帖数: 130 | 15 我和我的家人从2天的南加州之旅会来了。我在周六带着版嫂去看了那天晚上的精彩比赛
了。那天晚上主要有三个世界项目的比赛：World American Rhythm Championship,
World Cup International Standard Championship and IDSF Grand Slam
International Latin Championship. 看完了那个拉丁舞比赛后，我感觉幸亏我当初没有
选择跳舞这个职业，因为我发现我跳得实在是太烂了。
一共跳了5轮，从16分之一决赛的5个heat开始。共有70多对选手。我有一个以前的朋友也
在里面，不过人太多了，根本认不出来。我还是在8分之一决赛才认出来Eugene
Katsevman. 我那个朋友还是3年前我教他怎么数拍子的，现在他一直跳，估计已经比我跳
得好了。赫赫。他在第一轮就被唰掉了。还有我上次在那个MIT比赛录像中的那个carlos
lopez也被唰掉了。我记得他是因为我记得他们跳舞的样子。
半决赛中，12对里只有一对美国的，Eugene and Maria,其实还不是美国人。还有两对有
名的是K |

says that Edita's posture, i.e., the line, from head to neck to the body, is
normally unbroken. Therefore, she stands better and dances more efficiently.

I have an interesting story to tell. I am just a beginner in ballroom
dancing.
I usually just sit and watch people dance unlesss a really nice song comes
on. I always missed the dance because I was not familiar with the songs and
everyone is already on the floor by the time I recognized the songs. I
finally figured out what I need to do and everything changed since then.

there is only one dance party (i've ever been to) where the organizer
implemented the reservation system - ladies would have a little card hanging
on their wrists; on that card, guys would sign to reserve the dances they
would like to dance with the lady; kinda fun :)

good luck would continue. If it does not, S & C will have a spot in the
final.
None of the first places leaves much room for speculation. Amateur ballroom
final will be very interesting. There have been some place shuffling,
and rumors about italians manipulating judgeing panels in IDSF events.
(in my impression. i take no responsibility for these words.)
Blackpool's results will say a lot. Hope dancedance could provide more |

步（每次比赛都比上一次的排名往前推进几名）地在国际大赛中冒出头来的时候，很多
人都在谈论他们的成功故事。每次大赛（IDSF,Blackpool,World,etc.)大家都紧紧地盯
着他们俩，为他们喝彩。我知道他们俩的时候有点晚--他们已经拿到了一、两个世界级
别的冠军了。
记得我的一位来自乌克兰（Slavik来自乌克兰）的跳舞的朋友在电话中眉飞色舞地谈论
他的同胞如何成功。我当时连这个名字都没听说过。不过过了几天，轮到我得意洋洋地
在电话里向他宣称：“我见过他们俩了，而且是在非常近的距离（同一个studio内）看
着他们俩上一位老师的课的。。。”令他大吃一惊。
故事是这样的：那天下午我和舞伴在练舞。当时那个studio里面空空荡荡的，没什么人
。因为当天在我们那个地方有一个比赛，人大概都跑到赛场去了。我们没有去，因为那
不是collegiate的比赛。然后就来了三个人，一个胖胖的老师和一对学生，开始上课。
我们早就习惯旁边有人上课的情形，一点也没在意。过了一小会儿，我们停下来喝水休
息，同时看看那边上课的人 |

Tatsiana 和 Anna Firstova 其实差不多， 就是跳得不错， 但是没有太出彩的地方
（个人意见）， 有点不偏不倚的中庸感， 就是说，没太大毛病， 但是跳得不好看。
Tatisiana尤其跳得有点safe，可能跟她第一轮被撞了下巴有关， 好像说she was
bleeding。
