salary according to your PBC result.
IBM research is band 10. For postdoc, since the job is not permanent (
usually 2 years contract), the salary is higher.

reportedly see 26% of its 430,000-strong work force let go, or 111,800
people. If that figure holds true, that would make it far and away the
largest corporate layoff event in history, breaking the record previously
held by IBM, when it cut 60,000 in 1993.

症状和老人带挂钩是没有依据的。把小孩带回国让老人带，父母在美国，这样容易产生

有些人开口闭口“我们公司”，“our company"，潜意识里就是 ”我们的公司” 甚至
”我的公司”... 其实雇员只是长工一名，没有所有权，干一天拿一天的钱而已。正确
的说法是“我上班的公司”，或者更直接的“我打（长）工的公司”。
华为超过思科，只不过是某些人拥有的一家公司超过了另外一些人拥有的另外一家公司
。一般雇员，除非你拥有大量股票，董事会雇ceo 要你同意，否则关系其实不大。
另外一种情形，是因为自己的生存依赖某一个东家，就觉得东家是自己的了。其实这样
很高风险，哪一天东家翻脸不认人你下家都找不到。
例子：IBM 1993 年 layoff, 打碎很多人的 “IBMer" 自豪感，好多人哭着离开；
Nortel/Lucent 2001-2004 年 layoff, 每家公司都从10万人降到4万人；
不要天真的以为同样的事情不会发生在 Ciscoer, Inteler, FLAGer 等等身上。 |

汤米今天没有来，他和我一样，也是组里的SDET。别看他是组里的老鸟，他比我要小好
几岁，UW毕业后就进了MS。他每个星期六雷打不动地要去Pro Club健身2个小时，然后就
是和girls的social time，不过我们重来都没见到过他的那些girls。
因为我们大家都知道never ask what you are doing in your spare time，所以我们
也从来没有问过汤米他的girls在哪里。
汤米学了CS并且进了MS是件很奇怪的事，汤米的父母是虔诚的基督教徒，他们坚信
Computer就是传说中的潘多拉盒子。汤米的父母每星期会都会给汤米打三次电话，电话的
主要内容就是说法汤米quit from MS。
我们大家都很喜欢汤米，他算是我们中间最活跃，最单纯的一个，而且他是我们六个中
唯一每天洗澡，每个星期做laundry的人。我没有干净衣服穿时，就去他的壁橱里找，
每次都不会失望。

无奈兜兜转转了那么久，一直都没有再次找到自己的真爱。在大学期间，俺有过一
段刻骨铭心的爱情，与她已经三年了，她是我师姐，我们一直都是同学眼中羡慕的
一对，但在最后我们都无法经受住爱情的考验，她出国了，我们就这样很平静的分
手了。后来，我拍过两次拖，但发现都不是自己想要找的人，因此想借助贵版，寻
觅有缘之人。
先说说俺的一些基本情况吧。深圳大学毕业，期间在美国国际商用机器IBM深圳分公
司实习，培训期间工作出色，本想朝着一名出色的IBMer迈进，但后来算是缘分吧，
我选择了深圳电信。为人风趣幽默，性格开朗外向，长得还算俊俏吧，呵呵
说说我对未来gf的条件吧^_^ 善良真诚专一（这个最重要，因为我在也受不了任何的
欺骗了）目前在深圳发展或以后希望来深圳发展（我会给予你很多帮助的，因为我
对深圳的IT公司还算比较熟悉的）样子还过得去吧（虽然说一个人的内涵很重要）
大学本科毕业（俺是一个很健谈的人，兴趣广泛，对学历也有一定要求吧，要不沟通
起来会有一定的困难）

刚的。家里的budget，每两年换手机，2年里面买了ipad 2和猪板。
这种问题还有问吗？tablet对PC的影响是显而易见的，你们微软人能不能走出你们的世
界，看看外面？说句实话，在mit上碰到的MSer的固执和自以为是，比当年的IBMer厉害
