It sounds like that the baby has more complication than simply being pre-
term. 36wk old baby usually do well. The baby is probably hypoxic for a
while before C section. The changes in MRI is probably related with hypoxia
(usually occurs if baby is hypoxic longer than 2 wks). However, babies are
usually very strong, they can recover some ofthe nerve damage. I have seen a
lot of NICU baby recovered from initial insult. Only time can tell. Bless.

人类和黑猩猩也“分道扬镳”，但是驯养的牦牛却能够更好地适应这一地区的极端海拔
高度——牦牛能够生活在超过4500米的高海拔地区。
最近一项新研究中，研究人员揭示了牦牛这项生存能力背后的遗传学因素。研究人员通
过对已驯化的雌性牦牛的基因组研究，发现牦牛的几个基因让它能够更好地适应高海拔
地区的生活。相关研究成果在线发表于《自然遗传学》杂志。
研究显示，有三个基因能够帮助这种动物调节其身体对于高海拔地区氧气不足或缺氧情
况的反应，另外五个基因则能帮助它最优化利用其从食物中获得的能量——高原上，食
物也十分缺乏。
研究人员还表示，通过研究在高海拔地区生活所需要的基因，科学家或许能够找到办法
以更好地治疗和预防高空病以及与缺氧有关的并发症，例如高海拔脑水肿和高海拔肺水

My guess is, when tumor (primary or metastasis) is formed from a tiny colony
, it has enough O2. When it growth larger, it become hypoxic, inflammatory
and oxidative in property, which would promote its dissemination and
migration.

胖老师，HIF field用的最多的HIF1A的抗体是BD的#610958（鼠单抗）,WB的band在～
120kD
在normoxia培养条件的cell lysate信号几乎没有或者很低
需要进行一定的处理才能看见robust的信号，例如
(1)MG132 ~2hr
(2)CoCl2/iron chelator（比如DFO）
(3)PHD inhibitor（比如DMOG）
(4）如果你有Hypoxic incubator,用低于2% O2
(5)或是直接使用某些Mutant细胞，例如RCC4 (VHL inactivated)

HIFa主要是蛋白降解非常快，从hypoxic下拿出来最好不要超过一个小时，最好是消化
或刮下来直接加loading buffer煮。

Very nice! What is the diagnosis?
As a physician, the most important thing is that you try to get the history
and do physical by yourself.

首先非常感谢ACAP的帮助，让我们在NYHQ能一直有机会。我来到NYHQ医院做了一个
月的OB. 虽然知道这个机会来之不易而且还有很多XDJM在报名排队，我在来之前还是有
些犹豫。因为可以在我所在的城市里的教学医院做OB，为什么要离开家人和工作，来到
一个社区医院做呢？其实来到第一天的见闻就打消了我所有的顾虑，一个月确实挺值的
，只是没有机会再做长一些时间。
NYHQ位于法拉盛区（Flushing），医院大厅标注着英文、中文、韩文、俄文等等，
足可以看出医院的多元化（diversity）。第一天先参加orientation和infectious
control training，然后去街对面GME办公室递交application form等paperwork，再
回到医院办理ID卡，到五楼找chief resident报道。一批observer一般有四人，两周
