If you have a small green house to grow vege year round, you should grow
them hydroponically to fully utilize the little space.
种些果树 don't need new 土, trees like apple, peach, plum, cherry, grape (
not a tree), blueberry bush all grow very well in VA climate. You can call
your local extension office to get some tips. You might need fertilizer, but
not new 土 for sure.
You are too 土 if still growing things with 土 (just a joke, hope you don't
