master students are much much better than my phds. Some phds are much much
better than other phds. I used same methods to choose them, but their
performance varies to a degree that I can't make correlation between the
quality of students and the methods of selecting them. Now I think it is
pure luck, and I choose by hunch. |

I will argue with my broker for the bug as a start,
but this is only a trick answer.
My hunch is either the two methods are irrelevant/give random result
or buy back is no worse than the other one.
Because why DCA it in 6 month? Why not 2 years.
Is there a best time scale or it is totally irrelevant?
I cannot imagine there is a optimized time scale for that,
so I tend to think it is irrelevant.
Do you have an answer for this?

2014. While tapering or after tapering, FED finds out that, kabo!,the
economy is actually in the shit land. With help of tapering, the economy
officially in the recession zone.

buy and hold), or risk realizing some loss but not participating in the
recovery and also becoming vulnerable to whipsaws (trend following/momentum
trading). Or, if you let your emotion/hunches control the process, rather
than sound rules, you could do a lot worse. |

在骑驴找马找工作，刚知道上周五的一个onsite黄了，挺感兴趣得一个startup
分析一下，跟两个VP都谈得很好，估计就是被一个peer给说了坏话
先说一下背景，hiring VP相当年轻有为，手下一个一把年纪的，就是这个peer，一看
明显的不聪明干练
其实这个peer两年前的title是VP，没干好所以bring in了现在这个VP，从此公司的
product strategy得到调整蒸蒸日上
当时onsite就觉得这个peer不太友好，绵里藏针。Hunch就是他怕我加入了更影响他地位
不知道大家有什么好建议碰到这种情况怎么办？ |
