HULU is more on TV side...
Hulu's model is ad based plus subscription based (HULU plus)
NFLX is purely subscription based.
Personally I feel Ad based free video is the future :)
I don't know whether NFLX can offer Ad based free movies...since that will
hurt their DVD rental...But for Hulu, it is born to connect with Ad based
streaming... I guess Hulu's user base will increase faster than NFLX.

, 虽然有点广告， netflix 就不行，一定要交费。所以我用了一段时间 netflix 就
cancel 了，不过还保留着hulu的。我有一搭，没一搭的上去看看。所以hulu他们通过
广告也赚点吧。不过netflix, hulu 对播放平台好像都有constrain, 有时候在linux
上用 chrome, firefox 就不能播。不过有次看到网上说拿了hulu offer, 给17 万 rsu
, 话说没上市的公司的rsu 也能换成钱？这是什么道理？我得研究下股票。 |

1) Hulu 就像是美国的搜狐视频, 公司在LA附近的Santa Monica, 位置还是不错的。公
司前景不错, 貌似收费用户查了下有个几百万, revenue也在billion级别. 去Hulu能进
core service组学习infrastructure相关的东西, 这也是我所喜欢的, 但是这家福利不
是很好, 一直私有, 只有年底分红没有股票。
2) Fitbit 是一个做智能腕带的公司。HR说公司前景也很不错, 目前占有可穿戴设备7
成市场份额, 网上也有一些最近要上市的传闻。但是网上也查不到最近融资的情况, 最
近的一次估值也是13年4月, 当时只有3亿。对于可穿戴整体这个行业也不太了解, 不知
现在火是不是昙花一现, 也不知道苹果和三星出了智能手表后, fitbit会不会受到挤压
。另外被分到的组是Android组, 楼主不是很喜欢, 因为过去两个实习都是Android, 真
有点腻了。

Indeed: location 三番，base $125000, signon $10000, long term incentive plan
$10000, performance bonus 最多20%。
Hulu: location Santa Monica, base $120000, signon $35000, long term
incentive plan $30000 (分三年拿到)， performance bonus 最多15%
上周Indeed的offer已经deadline了，把Hulu的package给了Indeed，他们家应该会再给
更高的package，具体能给到多少不知道。现在一直再和Indeed拖，不知道选哪个offer
好。求版里大神指导一下。
Update: Indeed给了新的package，base涨了一些，signon match了hulu。给的

because I m not looking for such an experience. I knew what I was looking
for, just want that specific content to stream to me at HD quality. I type
the show name in search box and basically ignore the recommended stuff which
most of the time are irrelevant anyway.
Hulu failed at this. The free Hulu service lacked HD content when I tried.
As a free service, it has commercials which was not a deal breaker. I also

发帖数: 115 | 19 flextrade网上投的简历。面了三轮，挂在c++ premium的基本问题里。
前两轮很顺利，都是很常见的c++题。唯一的一道算法是计算某数的root(用binary
search解)。
第三轮
1 c++ overload和override的区别
2 解释c++四种cast
3 socket编程，解释server端调用的函数（wait,send, revc）
hulu投的他家的实习，过了两轮面试+coding problem.最后code review挂了。
1 2轮 对方提前20分钟发程序过来，然后讨论程序。问了一堆hash table的东西。bst
也问了一些。
coding problem是解hangman问题，8小时时间。最后一轮code review。当时我手上有
个类似公司的onsite，想着在hulu这边问些东西，然后过去显摆。可惜，最后两边都没
捞着（同学们要以我为戒，千万不要牺牲一个去换另一个）。当时我问hulu的面试官，
他们公司赚钱没，网站bottleneck在哪？有啥办法克服？还有对竞争对手的有啥看法？
电话里当时就感觉到对方不爽了。。。

，怎么可能做大。何况对手是Netflix,Amazon这样的重量级对手，技术碾压，资金碾压
，CEO碾压。
Hulu存在的价值就是让那几个公司做个hedge。

Hulu Plus normally costs $7.99 a month, and offers a 1 week free trial.BUT
for if you use your Chase credit card to sign up for the trial, you will be
given a FREE month of service... Plenty of time to decide whether you like
the service or not. Make sure you cancel before the month is up if you do
not want to be charged.
I can confirm this, as I just signed up and sure enough the billing does not

message to update my firmware so I did and now have Hulu Plus enabled.
Don't know if this is something that has been going on but the Hulu app

Saw this advertised on my Roku. According to the ad the free month trial
will last 6 more days.
I'm not sure if this is only limited to Roku users.
Also, if you have a Facebook account you can add on an additional 1-month.
Make sure to sign-up for the free trial first through the Roku link. Then on
Hulu.com there is an advertisement that mentions they'll give you a free
month if you connect your Facebook account to Hulu.

现在飞上天是不大可能，立马死掉也不可能

另外，hulu有北京office，开心了可以回国办公，里面一堆清华phd，搞open source。
