solaris退出
最后剩下aix这根独苗

一个bug，cost公司每年几百万刀。 最终被我找出来，成了公司的英雄。不过后来我走
人了，对这样的公司彻底绝望了。
代码当初不知道那个傻逼写的。 一个函数需要一个字符串，一个傻逼把一个字符变量
取地址放进去了，导致字符串不结尾。由于编译器的原因在linux,hpux系统里都不会
有问题，只在aix系统里出bug。 |

I doubt the acceptance of it in industry. Big companies use Solaris, HPUX, AIX
...... Since the implementation of PHP can vary a lot, it's possible to have
a better performance; but for server program nowadays most imporatant thing are
scalability and stability.
As pure speed is concerned, you must also consider that the actural performance
of a server page mainly depending not on the scripting engine, but some other |

度基本上是GCC的10倍。LZ的要求很像这种计算性工作站，不过3K估计只够买买配件。 |

了Linus推出了Linux, 十多年前就被Windows挤得几无容身之处。如果不是微软躺在
windows NT内核上睡大觉，不在SMP上努力，以致wintel的performance一塌糊涂，UNIX
里除
了AIX外其他的恐怕早就进了博物馆了。即便今天，HPUX早就进了坟墓了, Solaris这个
自称人类历史上最优秀的OS，也差不多翘了。

access right owned by account "ftp".Particularly, the ~ftp directory.
I am not sure what an cracker can do by exploiting this. Basically, they can
modify the files in you ftp directory and inject a trojan in some files. When
sbd else gets those files, bad things may happen.
I don't know how to disable SITE CHMOD. But you can simply change the owner of
the ftp home directory from "ftp" to "root". Also, you may want to keep two |

发帖数: 225 | 27 看到前面有不少讲cxterm的说明, 很好用, 但对于新手很难, 如下方法可以很快搞定:
其实cxterm运行只需要三个文件:
1) cxterm 可执行文件
2) ~/.Xdefaults 输入法定位文件
3) path/to/dict/gb 输入法table文件
因此你只需要从朋友或者XX那里考备这三个文件(第三个是目录)然后对~/.Xdefaults
稍微修改就OK了.
cxterm 只要是同一种UNIX/Linux就可以了, 例如hp-10.2 可以兼容hpux.
将之放在自己的 ~/bin/里, 别忘记 chmod a+x cxterm !!!
~/.Xdefaults当然在自己目录里了, 修改这个地方:
cxterm*hanziInputDir: /home/people/llu/dict/gb
上面是我的例子
path/to/dict/gb 里应该放table 文件, 应该有如下文件:
CCDOSPY.cit English.cit PY.cit QianMa.cit TeleCode.cit
CTLau.cit HIRAGANA.cit P |

but I was told that:
Can not find a usable termcap entry.
And I typed CXterm instead:
Can not identify a Chinese font in X window system.
But I really installed the Chinese fonts and I can see
the properly displayed chinese fonts when cxterm installation
almost finished (a popup window and a quit button). And
also I can see Chinese characters well in Netscape.
Could anyone tell me why?

一台SERVER，好象很轻松啊。PC 哪天能发展到这一步？
