狼有两大类，一类叫灰狼（gray wolf/timber wolf），目前发现的有32种，其中一些
已绝迹。另一类叫红狼（red wolf），比灰狼小、纤瘦，发现过三种，至今只剩一种仍
存活，且多为人工养殖，野外生存绝少。灰狼其实有黑、白、棕、灰不同毛色，按地区
而异。红狼也不红，而是黑、灰、红棕色间杂。灰狼群居，狼群称为pack，每群3-20匹

1962年，正值全美的学区和工会之间的关系紧张到极点之际，全国教育协会（National
Education Association）成员在丹佛集会，纪念成立100周年。其中一位发言人是
Arthur F. Corey,他是加州教师工会（California Teachers Association，CTA)的执
行总监。他对与会者说：“教师以罢工作为谈判武器，这种方式不合适，不职业，不合
法，老掉牙，无效。” “你们别想今天参加非法罢工集会,明天还能再回到课堂教我们
的孩子做好公民.”
50年后，2011年5月,CTA-即现在加州绝对最有权势的特殊利益集团，组织了一次名为“
加州告急（state of Emergency）”的罢工周，煽动给加州提高赋税，而加州赋税之苛
重本已名列前茅。CTA的一份文档为教师申诉提供指南，包括多达几十项建议, 比如无
