the easiest way to drain a pool is to connect a hose to a water faucet (
preferably lower than the pool water level), with the other end in the pool;
turn on the faucet until the hose is filled with water, go to the loosing
end, covering the hose end with your hand, take it outside of the pool, and
walk all the way to a ground lower than the bottom of the pool, siphonage
will take care of the rest.

such as a small one in the kitchenroom when you cook there.
First I called 9-1-1. And then I would use my fire extinguisher to try to
put it down myself. I have installed some hoses in the yards for any time's
use.
so I could use spinkle and garden hose for putting down some small fire.
but there are no hose adaptors in the attic in my second floor.

除湿器后盖打开后，在低压管（有保温棉保住的，通常连到压缩机的底端）上找个合适
的直线位置，
剪开（或用手扳开）保温棉，用砂纸把铜管表面砂一下。然后装Piercing Valve，要注
意的是这个阀装的位置未来Manifold hose（蓝色）有足够的空间可连上， 未来装回后
盖是有足够的空间。Piercing Valve上3个角上的收紧螺丝，每拧一点，换另外一个角
拧，以此安顺序重复收到紧位置，但不要用太大力，拧过头。
CPS MV3H2P5A Manifold 上的低压（蓝色）阀和高压（红色）阀顺时针方向都关紧。把
低压hose(蓝色）的非ANTI-BLOWBACK 端和charging hose（黄色）上的非ANTI-
BLOWBACK端连上 manifold, 拧紧。
低压管的另一端(ANTI-BLOWBACK端)连上Piercing Valve--拧紧。
此时此刻你的Manifold 上的低压（蓝色）表上显示的是0 PSI,如果不准的话用把细小
一字螺丝刀在表的后面可以校正到0.
高压端（红色）我们不会用到， 所以不用去研究（以后我会教你如何用在空调上）。 |

通知了UPS和officemax, 两家现在在做investigation。 UPS的记录里说，东西放在了
我的hose box里面。我根本就没有hose box。而且UPS系统显示的delivery的时间段内
，我家里还有人在房子外面种菜，屋里也有人。
周五的时候UPS driver 让我签一个单子，让我certify没收到包裹。 这个driver还不
承认把包裹留在了hose box里面，说不知道UPS系统里的信息哪里来的。
想问问各位有没有遇到过类似的情况，这单子签一下没什么问题吧？有什么需要注意的？

你能想象吗？第二排的安全带，因为螺丝没拧紧，自己掉了。车开了不到半年，第二排
坐人不超过30次，前天，家人上车要系上安全带，结果发现如图所示。总结一下吧：1.
冷却液探测器灵敏度不准的问题。跑去dealer那，给冷却液满上就没问题了。据dealer
说，2015款的GL低温地区普遍有这问题。2. 自感应门把手的开锁车功能，在低温时有
时完全没反应。3. 自动泊车不好使，一共试了三次。头两次一直往后退，没敢试它会
不会在最后一秒自己刹住，所以我踩了刹车。不甘心，后来又试了一次，结果车子自己
直接倒上了sidewalk。太忙，这个这周末要去找dealer4. 安全带竟然螺丝没有a拧紧，
自己给掉下来了！！！！！

的coupon，$20 for$130 value for A/C check, summer maintainence和tire
rotation. 去了以后人家只开了hood看了一下， 启动了车子说两个belt要换，其中一
个是A/C compressor belt， 还有一个hose裂了也要换 ， 至于A/C问题不是小问题，
要进一步检查， 这个groupon是不能cover的。quote了一下换以上三处问题部件的价格
250 （part）+250（labor). A/C要修的另外再估价， 还说我轮胎也要换了， tire
rotation没必要做了。
。。。。我老公说我这个groupon用的也太。。。。。
我觉得Meike开的价格有点不靠谱， 于是自行在advanced auto part上买了两种合适的

气管联通。这里牵涉到一个adaptor的问题，因为压缩机的air hose只有1/4'' fitting
，.水管是1/2'' 螺纹的。我在menards的那片卖各种转换头的地方看了20多分钟，终于
找到两个，一个是"1/4 to 1/2"adaptor,另外是一个hose adaptor，里边带黑色橡胶垫
片的。拧上的时候记得裹点pvc tape。
第四步：打开你的sprinkler，就像平时浇水一样。当然，因为水源切断，不会有水冒
出来，随后我们就是往管子里充气，用空气把残留的水排尽。可能这一步要重新
program你的system ，每个zone建议给足够的时间，20分钟以上，慢工出细活。 |

The 10ksi pressure is from an actuator, it is a nitrogen bladder.
The pressurized N2 will drive the fluid in the hose as the hose
is connected to the bladder with a valve to open and close the
communication. If the volume required to move the piston and

it is a constant pressure.

第一张图，打开hood检查reservor和hose，从上方看不出什么裂缝。
第二张图，从车底下看，有一根hose从engine前方进去，可能是连到radiator去的。被
挡住了，看不见里面，可能radiator位于风扇和engine之间。
第三张图，从reservor往里面注水，车底下哗哗的漏，水都从engine和oil filter
holder之间的间隙流下来。黑色的罐子是oil filter.
第四张图，如果盖上reservor的盖子，哗哗漏的水流立刻变成一滴一滴的漏。
毛病大吗？漏的是hose还是radiator? radiator有没有坏？mechanics说要把车开来做
一个pressure test才能确定radiator漏没漏，在决定拖不拖车之前，有没有什么简单
办法知道radiator漏没漏？ |

发帖数: 3042 | 39 cooling这个东西看你的risk profile, e46fanatics上不少开了十几万还没事的，但是
也有很多7万expansion tank就爆了。据我自己的观察，03以后的water pump好像有改
进，叶片材料从塑料换成了composite, 问题不大。但是expansion tank基本就是个
crap shoot, 如果能挺过80k， 可能就说明你这个质量不错，大概一直都不会坏，否则
可能7万多就爆了。这个可能是supplier的质量控制有问题。
radiator/hose/thermostat, 大家都换，但是极少见到坏的，我觉得其实这些部件的质
量都还不错，大家都换的原因就是换expansion tank的时候反正也要拆下来。。lower
hose很难拆，我觉得根本没必要费力气换，我开过的这么多车里面，从来没换过lower
hose, 从来也没有爆过，因为是冷却水回流的，没什么stress |

发帖数: 281 | 40 自己把车下面的SPOILER拆掉,只能看到一滴滴的COOLANT,但看不到哪漏.管子的接口处
都还干净.参考SAAB WIS,发现这是个大活,要拆FRONT BUMPER, HEAD LIGHT, CHARGE
AIR COOLER,AC COMPRESSOR. 另外我的TRANSMISSION REBUILT过,给TRANSMISSION单独
搞了一个小的RADIATOR,这个也是要REMOVED. 纠结了两天,还是决定去外面修了.
修车那用PRESSURE TEST了一下, 看到RADIATOR的铝和塑料结合的部分漏了.没办法,只
有换了.
今天把车开回来了,花了$730.RADIATOR(250),upper hose(30),bypass hose(15),
thermostat(30),lower hose(30),6 clamps(18),coolant(20), LABOR(320). 另外,没
抵抗住忽悠,做了个BLOCK TEST, 检查完了说Head gasket是好的.花钱买心安吧. |

"Rule of Thumb"
Put thumb on vacuum hose leading to direct engine vacuum.
Don't feel anything Change thumbs and re-test
Still don't feel anything Vacuum is very low to none.
Hose has slight suction 1" to 5"
Suction causes skin to wrinkle 5" to 8"
Suction turns thumb blue 8" to 10"
Suction creates hickey on thumb 10" to 12"
Suction creates pain 18" to 20"

Typically it's where the radiator hose meets
the engine block. You have to partially drain
the radiator by releasing a small screw on
the bottom called Petcock, then remove the
lower radiator hose, unbolt the steel thermostat
housing, the thermostat should slide right
out. When you install a new one, make sure buy
some gasket maker, you need a generous amount
on the thermostat housing. |

here is a rough list of things to do for an engine tune-up,
decide for yourself:
Road test the vehicle if necessary to verify certain
problems.
Inspect hoses and belts, and replace as necessary.
Check all fluid levels.
Check cooling fan operation.
Inspect the general condition of vacuum hoses and electrical
wires.
Clean battery terminals, and check cable condition.
Perform battery load test, and perform battery hydrometer
test if possible; determine battery condition.
