Isn't that De Rham theorem?
刚发现,可能是我看的这本书上弄错了,Poincare duality只适用于closed manifold,
而那书上说是compact manifold.

我开会碰到一个低年级PHD,是我见过最牛B的PHD, 本科的时候发了一堆paper了,包括
Ann of Math. 这人刚从普林毕业,在斯坦福第一年还是第二年,刚做了Hilbert--Smith
conjecture for three-manifolds.做的领域也相当广,代数几何,拓扑,概率都做. 个人

what do u mean by homogeneity? If they are homologous, ur features should
pick it up
or u can say homogeneity is defined by the similarity between the feature
vectors of two languages which may or may not overlap with the ones u are
interested in.
in biology ppl build phylogenic trees,
u can do a simple hierachical clustering of the langauges using the
euclidian distanc of the feature vectors.

下周有一个重要面试,是一个研究神经退行性疾病和衰老的机构,他们要我设计一下以
后自己可能开展的研究课题或工作。我实在是不知道该怎末下手,我的背景是以前做过
神经元甘氨酸受体通道的电生理研究,后来做过GABAA受体还有protocadherin蛋白的研
究,但我对老年痴呆之类的一点概念都没有,现在上网查也只能了解各大概,也没找到
老年痴呆和我熟悉的GABAA受体或是protocadherin之间有关系的相关文献,有没有高人
指点一下该怎末入手设计这个面试课题啊,万分感谢。
补充一下,先前通email他们好像对我的电生理研究背景比较感兴趣,另外我熟悉的实
验技术包括细胞培养,免疫荧光,western blot,基因克隆等。还有我查了一下,他们
研究所有人做β-Site APP Cleaving Protein 1 (BACE1)和CutA Divalent Cation
Tolerance Homolog (E. coli) (CUTA)的研究,还有人做AD小鼠模型。

and piloted by Strietzel, it would have been surprising that its slower
than m5.

如果不加速,那其实没啥区别,engine brake的效果会有差异。还有的区别就是AWD车
因为其AWD系
统带来的weight distribution有些不同。AWD出弯肯可以早加速,这个优势很大。
GT2不是AWD的原因很简单,因为它是要参加FIA GT2比赛的,FIA GT只不允许AWD的车。
GT2的起因是为了满足FIA的homologation要求基于911 turbo,去掉AWD系统,减重,赛道版。

GT1应该是有homologation的规定的,停产多年的Carrera GT是不行的了。
法拉力599应该是够实力上GT1的,以前550成绩很不错的,不过跟MC12比,应该还是差
点。

看怎么用了,超跑的话,大家基本一眼能看出来是跑车。而且那些基于赛车为了符合
homologation要求的,其实和跑车的精神又不一样。我觉得跑车有一点是为了Driving
pleasure而生,赛车的话为了速度会牺牲不少易用性/舒适性,操控也会比较难驾驭,
赛车属不属于跑车其实有待商榷。
这个标准我觉得主要是为了区分那些容易和纯跑车混起来的高性能车和GT,还有国内所
谓的“轿跑车”。当然具体的车身/轴距数字上还可以调整,我就是给了个大概的数,
比如说轴距我觉得2.9米可能就太宽松了。

M3 GTS肯定算track car,但是track car正如你所说,可以是任何底子,和sports car
应该不是互斥的概念。这样一来,M3 GTS算不算sports car的问题还是没有解决啊……
