糕。情人节的前一天晚上等老公和孩子都睡着了，给老公做的，第二天早上老公非常的
surprise，晚上回家给我带回来了一朵玫瑰花。：）
干料四种：
1cup低筋面粉
1 teaspoon 泡打粉（baking power）
¼ teaspoon 盐（也可以不加）
1 cup 糖（分两份）（这个酌情，我只用了1/3cup）
湿料四种：
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup milk
蛋黄4个
蛋白4个打入一个干净无水无油的容器

我因为要做分层的，就用了5个蛋的配方，就是上面的配方每样再多加1/4。
烤箱预热到370度，放到烤箱烤32分钟就好了。
打发奶油加了自己做的稳定剂，是用的这个方子，感觉还不错，不怕化了。第一个
picture是刚做好的时候照的，第二个是第二天早上照的，从冰箱里拿出来好久也不怎
么变形。

很传统的一道感恩节菜，green bean 加上 cream & mushroom soup 烤熟，上面撒上
French fry onion topping，这个topping很脆，大人小孩都喜欢吃
sweet potatoes with cereal topping
其实就是烤红薯，加上了butter 和 brown sugar，卡路里高啊
stuffing，买的盒装，加水和奶油加热焖湿即可
我还是比较喜欢homemade的，放西芹苹果葡萄干和各种香草的stuffing，但要自己做工
程不小 |

2 面包也是烤出来不够松软。以前吃过别人homemade的白面包，很湿润松软的样子。是
不是水加少了，还有烤的时间长了点？没烤熟可不可以放回去继续烤呢？

的印象往往建立在有限的餐馆经历上（甚至不是外国人家中的homemade food）。这种
情况下接触到的很多东西并不能真实反映那个菜系的特点。如果别人用芝麻鸡、西兰花
牛肉来定义中餐，说中华美食不过尔尔，我们也不会服气吧？
像美式甜点，不止中国人觉得甜腻，我认识的一些欧洲人也接受不了。北欧系或者法式
的bakery风格就不一样。说实话，这边做得好的whipped cream cake或者tres leches
cake都比所谓的中式蛋糕好吃很多。
我个人比较喜欢学一些烹饪中的技术原理，能在有限的时间、精力和财力下较大幅度改
善菜的效果，算是零级或者一级近似。职业厨师追求的，估计是高阶修正了（还有外观
）。其实一些听起来高大上的东西，不少都是基本的热力学和流体力学原理，还有化学
反应、蛋白质结构，了解后对日常家庭烹饪也是很有益的。 |

常吃对身体不好，于是决定在家里手工制作Nutella。儿子喜欢吃胡桃仁，所以将榛子
hazelnut改为胡桃仁pecan, 做出来之后味道也很好。
用料：
1. 1.5杯牛奶巧克力片milk chocolate chips
2. 1.5杯烤香的榛子或各种果仁(我用了烤香的胡桃仁)
3. 2汤匙食用油(我用了牛油果油）
4. 1.5汤匙牛奶
5. 3汤匙白糖(如果牛奶巧克力片含糖的话，可以免加）
6. 1汤匙无糖可可粉
7. 半茶匙香草精vanilla extract
8. 半茶匙或适量盐
步骤：
1. 烤香榛子或胡桃仁：将烤箱预热到 350°F (176°C)，榛子或胡桃仁摊放于烤盘里
放入烤箱烤12分钟左右到香脆。
2. 将用料2果仁放入搅拌机搅成糊状，然后加入用料3-8，继续搅拌成糊。
3. 锅里加入少量水煮开，开最小火，将用料1牛奶巧克力片倒入一玻璃碗，放入盛着开

K博士晚饭时要我选饭馆儿，我挑了家泰国餐，还不错，酸辣泰国鸭。我诚恳邀请他将
来有时间一定去我家吃顿homemade中国餐，绝对的全美第一，我们哈哈大笑。
他告诉我其实现在HR还没有正式的hiring process。我的原计划也就是参观，而正式的
onsite还没有开始，大概明年1月等所有candidate都定了以后，也许我才能等到通知。
当时有点儿不爽，见过的7家公司都是正面反映，“perfect interview”as they said
，ZS回信还说我是perfect candidate,可是都要等消息。这家第一个onsite感觉不错，
可还要等到1月，何况我明年1月在国内陪爸妈呢。ft之后我呵呵，稍安勿躁。想到这个
词，我就没什么不爽了。因为一般的onsite都是小组面试，今天我至少面了2个老板4个
职位，也没什么值得抱怨。如果说自己不喜欢，或者说没被选上，也无妨，权当一种经
历，结识一些不同的人，一次孤身旅行而已。
其实今年工作形势很不好，很多公司都直接放弃了对于H1b的赞助，一看到F1身份就谈
也不谈。我们所能做的就是尽力去争取，也看天命，是我们的就是我们的 |
