You assumed that Pujols will be put into a positon where protection is bette
r. But in the past two seasons when he won the MVP, Cardinals actually have
decent, if not great protection for him. Last year there were Ludwick and Tr

ome slack. Remember, you don't need multiple protections. You need one prote
ction, and that is it. You cannot argue Pujols does not have it in |

of identifying and developing players in order that Cards be competitive.
Pujols probably will sign his last big contract next winter (or is it
after 2011?). I see no chance that he would sacrifice his salary for
the "greater good" of the team. If I have to make a guess, I think his
contract might be like 240/8.
At this rate, Cards might do better trading him to Yankees/RSox or
some team with financial flexibility than keeping |

trade pujols at his highest value for several decent players. this on
paper could make the the team better, as one player can only do so much.
but i think the management knows better, if they lost pujols, people will
stop paying to see games, and they lose revenue, which to them tops

bay又都是右打，补了也大打折扣。
看重obp就是钱球理论阿，运动家就一直这么搞，花少钱办大事，至少能进季候塞。近
几年mariner都是全队obp最低的那几个队之一，换了个gm，目前这个方针还是对的，搞
obp的cost effectiveness还是很不错的，靠防守和obp先搞进季候塞再说 |
