最近在看英国历史，看见William Hogarth (1697-1764)的四幅充满诙谐幽默的油画，
描绘十八世纪英国的议会选举。
第一幅叫做“选举娱乐中的幽默”（Humours of an Election Entertainment），描绘
了由辉格党候选人组织的用来拉票的晚宴，保守党则在窗外抗议。两位候选人正在努力
讨好支持者， 一个在亲吻一位丑陋的孕妇; 另一个则在听醉汉吹牛。 在桌子的另一端
，市长因为吃了太多的牡蛎昏倒了，而选举公务员则被保守党暴民从窗户外扔进来的砖
块击倒。其他支持者在向窗外的保守党投掷家具。
第二幅画叫“拉票”（Canvassing for Votes）。在画面中央，一个辉格党和一个保守
党的支持者都试图贿赂一个旅店老板投票给他们。这三个人的左边，另一个人正在用珠
宝和缎带贿赂选民们的妻子（女人没有选举权）。画面的左面一个妇女正在细看刚刚拿
到的珠宝。

this guy at sequoia gives an example. he's a ph.d.-turned mba.

nothing is impossible, but it's guaranteed to be a tough path.
you got to do your homework more broadly.
one of the qualities for VC job candidate is resourcefulness. if you only
count on a bbs to find the answer to "how to get into VC", then your success
rate becomes questionable.... ^_^
