谱，学校很好其实不输给牛顿。public service比牛顿只好不差。不信顺着Elliot St
从牛顿方向开过来到Central Ave就能体会到，一进Needham界，房子也好了，路也好了
，yard看上去都更decent了。
去年11月投票approve了新盖Hillside小学，Elliot也是很小size的的小学，评价都很
好。Newman可能是因为学校略大一些所以才分数不高？6年级开始全镇的孩子集中在同
一个学校。亚裔比例适中，不会像Lexington那样孩子压力山大。
各方面来说我都还是很满意的。 |

目前网上查的有 woburn 有 tudor glen village (shaker glen village 好像是一家
？） westgate, 35 Montvale Avenue（ 靠近中心 停车场的一个apartment)
stonham 的franklin st 靠近main street 上边的 （还有谁知道hillside garden 啥
时候有空房啊。。。）
再就是melrose 的 melrose terrance 和靠近main street 上的一些了或者靠近malden
的pleasant st 那个
大家有啥建议不？ 哪里有房虫，环境不好的啥的呀？

今春看花多了，便很觉得已经沧海，不想继续长途追逐野花。。这个周末，想起近来我
很忽悠了一些解放区人民来白区视察：休闲 hike Palos Verdes Trail，自己却并没有
走通过，于是乎，就走一遭吧。。
一进trail就哇呀一声惊喜，没有期待的野花，在这多雨的春季，果然开到了犄角旮旯
。。而且今年似乎就执着上黄紫了，从牛骨头坡的fiddleneck-blue dick,到Carrizo
Plain的hillside daisy- phacelia，到眼前的mustard－lupine以及mustard-phacelia
（可惜颜色不如Carrizo Plain的艳丽），大自然四处显示这神奇的对比。
可以遛马，骑车，跑坡的主Trail，现在是被油菜花簇拥着
上了山顶，望一眼Portuguese Bend，Abalone Cove等处

发帖数: 7034 | 10 今年似乎已经是公认的野花小年，连野花“大户”Carrizo Plain也未能例外。不过正
所谓百足之虫，死而不僵，即使在这一般的年成，Carrizo Plain仍然维持着其贵族身
份和地位，傲视同侪，延续辉煌。
驱车北上，转入58后，路边忽见一片紫花，还以为是Lupine，停下细看，却是类似Chia
，但比一般看到的花型更大更漂亮。
和白色daisy夹杂一起，这一片也蔚为可观。
意外吃了这道开胃小菜，让我们对平原里的花况也更加期待起来。下了58，转入
Elkhorn Rd，直奔Temblor Range。花况果然一般，山坡不是明艳的一片片，而是夹杂
着褐色的斑驳，一点也不吸引人。
来回1.5mile的探索，还是找到些不错的点。

继续沿Elkhorn向东，这片看似仍然只是褐黄斑驳的山坡，已经被我们敏锐得看到了大
片的紫色和几抹橙色。停车，再探。
果然除了黄的Hillside daisy，橙的San Joaquin blazing star和紫的Phacelia都如期

是非常惬意的。 那边还有泡温泉的，以前PingLore组织过，但我不认识野鼠，所以也
没去。很多火车站也很有特色。 拿Richmond Amtrak Station (Virginia)来说，我有
次去那边看毕加索的画展，看完后，做火车回北维，正好看到火车站里边2楼有人包了
场在那举行婚礼， 呵呵。

have 6 friend families live there for more than 10-30 years. Their general
opinion is the elementary shools there are really really balanced. If you
have to rank them, Harrison and Mout pleasent are the best, based on how
they and
their children feel. then collins, hillside and riker hill. 3 out of the 6
families actually live in collins district.
I will move to Riker Hill district soon.

发帖数: 6055 | 49 妻子非常喜欢法拉盛，直接否决NJ和Westchester。 我们预算是600-700K, 马上就有第
二个孩子了。
最近以法拉盛为中心，Queens 26学区包含Bayside, Little Neck, Douglaston, 和
Fresh Meadows, 偶尔也看北法拉盛和白石不过25学区还是差点。 好处是地税一年
4000-5000，生活交通方便，但是房子实在小，一般两层房子，我们这个价位最多一层
也就600-700尺。 比很多Apartment还小。 高中也比较杂比较差。 妻子说我们是中
国人，就应该住中国人的地方，而且26学区已经不错了，对的起孩子了。
我自己受同事影响，比较喜欢长岛, 只挑最近的Town，Great Neck基本上买不到近火车
的砖房House，现在看North New Hyde Park (Great Neck和Herrick学区那部分，在
Hillside Avenue北方）, 靠Bus站的。 一张Metrocard搞定，地税是10000-12000，
但没有NYC税还是能抵消不少的。 而且房子大很多漂亮很多。 开车去法拉盛不过二十
