sensible training plan and no sensible coach would allow Scott Jurek to race (and win) badwater AND western
states, in a single month, two weeks apart. I say push it whenever you feel like, don't hold back. That being
said, if you are at the start of a 40-mile training run, you don't need anyone else to tell you to keep your heart
rate low.

Since I began training with the Maffetone Method principles, almost
all my long runs have used a heart rate plan that starts way below
MAF, and ending up there at the end of the run. I've gone as low
as MAF-30 to start.
Currently, I use MAF -20 to MAF-15 on recovery days, and
MAF-15 to MAF on long runs, and a weekly MAF test
as an at-MAF workout. I've seen progress with this
type of set-up. |

In this case, HRM is simply not working properly, especially if you don't
have salt water on the contact points (I use saliva, which is a good
substitute according to the Garmin manual)
To wait till heart rate stabilize, or to wait till your initial fatigue goes
away, or to loosen your ligaments/joints, they can all be called warming up |

heart has to deal with increase activity. I think everyone's sensitivity
may be different. In my case, it's extremely hard not to go over certain
threshold even if i mixed slow jog with walk breaks for the first couple
of miles. After mile 3, I don't have that problem anymore, I can actually
speed up.

,热身2迈,4迈tempo pace,3迈cool down。
热身无话,tempo pace跑了两迈就觉得双腿还是很紧,而且已经为了周日的5K节省能量
,只跑了7:00的pace,但还是无法找到轻松的感觉。看来上周日的18迈,周三的12迈仍
然在起作用。虽然心率只有155,只有78% MaxHR,还不到tempo zone,但是感觉坚持跑
下去,可能会消耗太多,导致周日不能及时恢复。
现在感觉到AM计划的advance,在疲惫的双腿上跑tempo,正是模拟比赛中可能出现的情
况,比如20迈之后,劳累的时候看你是否能够顶住。今天我chicken out,因为心有所
属,但是以后的训练要follow heart。
后来就只跑了2迈tempo,cool down 3迈结束。跑完之后觉得舒服了很多,wait a
minute,did I just warm up? |

最近准备开始有氧(跑步),所以需要监测心率。
前两天买了个便宜的moron(HR100C),结果不好用,需要退掉。
有没有大家用着比较好用的,麻烦给推荐一个,最好100刀以下(没钱啊......)
PS:需要那种可以绑在胸部的。之前还买过一个手表式的(然后需要把手指按上去测心
率,结果最后就只能当手表用了)。

watch and instead got the original plastic hr monitor. I take off the strap
and just place the main plastic part inside to top of my bra. It works great
this way and is much more comfortable than having a strap wrapped around me
and much easier to get in and out of and you don't have to find a private
place to do it. I'm not sure if this will work for all women but it might be
