上周看到一个客户的case，被罚了很多钱，因为Hawaii规定，在hawaii出租房子除了要
报in
come tax以后，还有申请general excise tax licience，然后monthly/quarterly or
semiannually报general excise tax(GET).
这个客户请一个加州的cpa帮报税，这个cpa估计不知道hawaii有这么变态的规定，所以
没报GET,这个客户因此被罚了好多钱。
问题是：
1.hawaii州税的表格上rental一栏没有任何关于GET的提示，感觉就是为了trap不了解
这个规定的人
2.这个cpa有没有liability? 被告的话是不是要赔钱

0.0 若假期允许，尽量不要在圣诞、新年期间去夏威夷，这是最贵的时候，机票、酒店
、租车都贵得要命，避过这个高峰期，所有价钱都能降下来。就住宿、租车而言，大岛
比瓦胡岛(Waikiki, Oahu)便宜不少。
还有一个原因是，圣诞节、新年、或周日，很多景点是不开放的。
0.1 在做旅游计划前，买一本蓝宝书 - 又实用又好用，几乎涵盖了所有需要的信息。
旅游的时候每天带在包里或车上，随时查阅。
我们买了两本 - Oahu一本，Big Island一本。Amazon上有，十几块一本。

civil unions bill, will likely make its way to a supportive governor.
The bill, SB 232, passed by a 19-6 vote and is identical to HB 444, a 2010

多谢B总指导，少走不少弯路。分享几点经验
1. 推荐去amazon买hawaii trip蓝宝书**** revealed，每个岛的吃玩住都有详尽指导
。我买了maui,oahu和big island三本。在飞机上也可以读着消磨时间。
2.机票一定要用aa，ua,amex的点买，便宜好多。我们定的晚，出发前一天还改了行程
。单程chicago到oahu直飞基本要$1300以上了，可用UA点一人2万miles搞定，回来AA
17.5k miles。多谢领导去年攒了不少点。神医妮大叔给算算是不是省了80%? ^o^
3. 去oahu的基本都住在waikiki beach,因为90%hotel都在那。 oahu真是shopping天堂

几个星期前的一张飞机票DEAL，让我们临时起意去HAWAII度假。
凌晨俩点和朋友俩口子一起，驾车到JFK，坐上了去HAWAII的飞机，
飞往那个只在电视上看到过，风景如画的梦想中的度假胜地。
当地1点半左右，我们到达了OAHU。因为要住在Kapolei的RESORT里，我们驱车顺路先去
了PEARL HARBOR。在TICKET SOLD OUT的情况下，我们很幸运的得到了放行，登上了
去看ARIZONA军舰遗址的最后一班渡轮。
残烈的记录片，开启了陈封的历史。USS Arizona Memorial的白色墙壁上记录着在1941
年12月7日，珍珠港事件中, 和ARIZONA号一起被埋藏在海底的1177位士兵的名字。这是
一段应该让所有美国人知道并铭刻在心的事件,而美国人好象选择了淡忘.
一直不明白，在HAWAII这个曾经遭到日本鬼子偷袭，太平洋舰队几乎遭到毁灭性打击的
地方，为什么会对日本人如此友好,会允许有那么多日本人定居和那么多的日本游客（
当然PEARAL HARBOR是日本人基本上不去的地方）。难道美国人真的这么容易忘却那不
该忘却的记忆？

260-280 deal is for Hawaii Air or not. I like Hawaii Air because its time is
good and no need to transfer in LAX. The good thing about this deal is that
it has a big time span (from Sept to Nov). You can find a trip easily that
leaves on Thur/Fri and returns on Mon/Tues to minimize the time off days. I
believe this will be the deal for the rest of year with the high oil price.

and competing coaches in a year of flux for a league down to eight schools
this year.
Hawaii, which finished 10-4 last season, was picked ahead of Fresno State
and Nevada in both polls released Thursday at the conference’s football

发帖数: 37 | 40 just got back from a 7-night caribbean cruise. Someone had asked me before
the trip that I share experiences when coming back. Here you go:
1. My cruiseline, Costa (under Carnival), didn't requires visa to those
ports of call.
2. Caribbean (flat island) is not as pretty as Hawaii (mountains) (I also
took a cruise); snorkeling is way, way worse than Hawaii. And unlike
Caribbean, you don't need to worry about any visa issues with Hawaii.

发帖数: 2056 | 41 第一次去Hawaii, 已经定了去Hawaii的6天往返的机票. 还没定旅馆和岛间的机票.
第一天中午12点到Honolulu.
第6天下午2点从Honolulu飞回旧金山.
目前的初步计划是, Oahu玩一天就好, 主要去Maui, 如果不赶的话,
去一趟大岛, 不过大岛是能去就去, 不能去就算了.
请各位大拿帮忙设计一个完整的Hawaii旅游路线和时间分配，及住宿地点。 帮忙的朋友有包子酬谢。 |

hiking, no matter how good it is.
But I do want to make a point for those who like hiking. The top trails in
Hawaii (especially in Kauai) are not just some good trails . They are among
the best trails you can find in the states. I've hiked in 40 national parks
in the US and had many other hiking trips in UT, AZ, CO and CA. Kalalau
trail is among my top 5 favorites.

发帖数: 303 | 47 我们两个人，无老无小，从纽约走，能折腾。查了搜了机票酒店一两周了，还是拿不定
主意，大家给点意见？这三个地方我都去过，都喜欢，USVI/PR是一年多前，
Yellowstone/GT是三年前，Hawaii是十年前了，但我家那位没去过Hawaii。
费用方面USVI/PR是淡季相对最便宜，那边的beach也真是大爱，但天气真的会受不了吗
？Hurricane season和Zika我倒不是特别担心，一般没那么运气差。
天气方面应该Yellowstone/GT最好，但安排有点晚了，住宿也不知道能刷到什么样子，
另外只有我能开车，从SLC一人开来回还是心有余悸的，怕会玩的很累。
Hawaii应该是对我俩都最新颖的，但是从东岸真的好远也不便宜，担心剩下的时间连一
个岛都不能好好玩。另外也是希望有机会回亚洲时用United Mileage做stopover在那玩
的。
你会怎样安排？不要说呆家里算了=) |
