The 2007 National Collegiate Women's Gymnastics Championship kicked off on
April 26, with six teams advancing to the Super Six. In session one, Georgia
posted the top score (197.700), followed by Florida (197.400) and Nebraska
(196.625). In the second session, Utah took top honors (197.325), with
Stanford (197.200) and UCLA (196.475) rounding out the field.

那天老美突然问了我句：你们中文里关于做爱，有多少种表达方法？
来一则，发生在我和另外一名美国留学生之间。当时他们都已经被诸如“戊、戌、
戍、戎、戒”或者“己、已、巳”这样的汉字给折腾得快疯了，我很得意，经常有
意无意就在他们面前夸耀中文的博大精深。结果有一天，这老美终于忍不住了
那天我又跟他们说起中文里关于“妻子”有多少种说法，“吃饭”又有多少种说法，
如此等等。说着说着，这老美突然问了我一句：“K，你们中文里关于做爱，
有多少种表达方法？”
我听他这么问，也没想许多，就拿出张纸来开始给他写，穷举了从文雅的
云雨交媾到粗俗的XX（注，此为屏蔽）等大概三十来种中文里关于做爱的
表达方式，完了把纸递给他，心想：你小子这下得服气了吧？
孰料那老美接过纸后扫了一眼，淡淡说道：“K，我们英语里关于做爱的表
达方式实在是太多了，一张纸写不下，今晚回去我e-mail给你吧。”
我愣住了，茫然地点了点头，说了声好。
那天晚上，我在自己的邮箱里看到了下面这份长得不像话的列表……

我来陈述一下：皮叔有一点说的很对，“多半只是表达一种情绪”。但是背景不太一样。
事情是这样的，昨天我在准备给他们after school里的课外活动的check（一个是
gymnastics，一个是basketball。慕文今年上了gymnastics和soccer，篮球我们没让他
上，觉得运动够多了，而且他多半只是喜欢跟风而已。chess让他去听了一次，他不喜
欢就没上）。
我问LD说，要不要上篮球呢？LD说，“不用了，体育活动够多了。他现在是文化太差，
极差（我理解针对的是慕文的学习态度）。”顿了一下说，“我看足球也不要上了，还
不如上跆拳道。”我说，“我同意上跆拳道，但是坚决不同意停足球。”（慕文还算喜
欢足球，每次都蛮尽力的。在一群不会踢的娃中，还可以冲冲前锋。配合意识不足，个
人表现欲较强。我还在想要不要上个稍微正式点的提高一下呢。）LD说，“为什么？踢

赛选手的。说老实话，我过去还真不大了解这个选拔过程，只知道参加美国奥运队的选
手，绝大部分是赛前临时组成的，同时联邦政府对美国奥运代表队的组成，没有一分钱
的经费资助。为了回答这位读者的问题，我做了一番调查，由于奥运比赛涉及的项目繁
多，每个项目的具体选拔过程各有不同，所以只能将大略的情况向读者做一个概要的介
绍。
要了解美国奥运代表队的组成，先要对美国运动员的培养、管理、参赛体系有一个
大致的了解。美国的这个体系与许多国家大不一样。大体上来说，美国的运动员基本上
是“自生自长”的，没有国家培养一说;代表每个不同体育项目参加比赛的所谓国家队
，大部分是临时组成的，比赛完后就解散，到需要时再组建。
前面说过，美国运动员基本上是“自生自长”的，所谓“自生自长”，指的是在整
个运动生涯中，无论是决定参与某一体育项目、成为该项目的运动员，还是聘请私人教
练、平时训练乃至参加比赛，所有的决定都是个人、家庭与教练做出的，所有的经费也
