据加拿大移民局统计数据显示，自川普上台后，从美国移民到加拿大的人数呈上升局势。
到加拿大获得永久居民身份的美国比往年多了一千多。加拿大发给美国居民的学生签证
也比平均数量增加了一千多。
据统计，在2018年前3个月，就有近3000名美国人获得了加拿大的永久居住权，这是自
2008年第二季度以来的最高数量。
根据2017年第一季度以来至2018年第一季度的五个季度数据统计，平均每个季度都有二
千多名美国人成为加国永久居民

移民申请者会被告知他们必须签署一份同意书，否则联邦移民官员将不会处理其申请。加拿大太阳传媒得到了一份这样的表格，上面说这些数据可以与加拿大边境服务局，加拿大安全情报服务(Canadian Security Intelligence Service)以及外国警方共享。
引来批评无数
