我是从别的专业转到环境科学的，现在做的是 groundwater contaminant这一块
我觉得目前面临很多很多的困难不知道该怎么办。。。
首先我还没拿到驾照，我们这里考驾照是分级的，考了笔试一年后才可以路试，
最近发现所有相关工作都需要驾照，而我们省考驾照的地方全体罢工已经快两个月了。
。5555 有一个工作发来邮件要我交驾照的abstract 和record。。好难过啊。。。
有没有人知道环境类工作对驾照的年份和驾驶经验有没有要求。。。
我之前还投了一个NY周围一个极偏僻的地方的entry level position,几个小时后就受
到据信。。。大受打击。。。可能是因为身份的问题 555
还有，我好想去加州找工作然后和我男朋友在一起，我们已经LD了很多很多年来555但
是我目前在加拿大，我没有身份，没有OPT，没有驾照，没有钱，我觉得我什么都没有

foreigners, the other division does not do it often but you can try. HGL is

。我在学校一直做的是groundwater modeling为主的projects，也包括地表水，对于
modflow-based的软件，比如vistas,visual modflow,还有GMS都很熟练。同时我在MS和
PhD期间都做了很多野外工作，比如pumping test,slug test,geoprobe logging等等。
想找的工作以modeling为主，但是我也很喜欢fieldwork，或者和hydrogeology有关的
都行，可以暑期就开始工作。不管如何，先感谢了！ |

发帖数: 332 | 20 如果你现在只是想找一个工作而不是非要MODELING的工作，把简历中的MODELING从主要
改成次要或者删除，主要说AQUIFER TEST等FIELD WORK，还可以加一些BORING LOG
，WELL INSTALLATION，GROUNDWATER MONITORING（SAMPLING），DATA ANALYSIS，
以及PUMP AND TREAT，SVE。在学校的研究上提一下MODELING. 应该会有帮助，进了
门后再换到MODELING工作会容易不少。对了,去考个PG(GIT)。
这是我个人的看法. 你可以试一下。 |

这样背景就在经济危机高峰的08年底，有几乎所有申请公司的电话面试.尽管绿卡是大
问题
"上过一些remediation,geology,groundwater的课" 和做这方面工作差别还是很大的，
好多面试的都说会modflow，局限于上课的project，具体问个问题就漏了.
个人认为还是扬长避短吧。 |
