最初几年，村子里的大人们没有想到要把孩子们的这种状况与近在咫尺的矿山和冶
炼厂联系起来。
杨焕霞说：“2010年时，发现老大晚上经常睡不好觉，就带他去医院检测，结果发
现血铅超标。”
医院的检查结果显示，她大儿子的血铅含量226 ug/L(微克每升)。一般来讲，血铅
含量在100 ug/L以下属于正常，大于或等于100 ug/L即为血铅中毒。
后来这个白族女人还知道，血铅超标可引起孩子多动、烦躁等症状。
现在她的大儿子已经8岁了，但身高只有一米二。他的脖子很细，脸上没有太多肉
，以至于颧骨和眼睛十分突出。这个孩子在2010年检查后吃了一年多的排铅药，此后就
断药了。小儿子今年3岁了，但始终没有去医院检测过血铅含量。
