is easier to get sponsorship (tuituion waiver easier for PHD than master).
As soon as you started gradute school, you will know for sure it is a good
choice because that is the plan with bright future. The other choices will
not offer the same thing.
We all have been through the same path, it is not that difficult as imagined

Probably the highest level a master gradute can get.
1% of annual salary for bonus "target" is probably the lower bound.
HR wouldn't want to set your expectation too high yet cannot deliver.
The actual bonus/ECBP can be higher, depending on the year and profit.
The higher bonus in recent year is probably around 10-20% range.

和老师打lunch time game。 我就觉着你要是老跟一帮熟人打球，技术是别想提高了
。打个比方，队里有的人特爱突破，也擅长突破，我吧，相比之下擅长投篮。这时间长
了，技术特点都熟了，我总能有Open shot，你说你不投吧，肯定被骂，你想突破吧，
没机会。这样一年了，发现汗没少出，篮球到越打越臭。

停车场地： 需要自己搞定， 学校里停车要收费10刀。如果想停在Erwin terrace前面
的大停车场， 然后走过去， 那需要走15－20 min。
学校声明： 票在下午4：30发放， 每个学生最多拿4张， 入场时， 学生本人必须和持
票人一同入场。持赠票的和学生的入口为gradate student入口处。 就是靠近wallace
wade stadium 橄榄球场一侧。

Department makes decison first and the program coordinator will sign the
offer letter;
Department secretary forward all materals to graduate admission office;
Dean in the graduate admission office will review all offers and sign the
offer letter;
graduate office staff will mail the official letters to applicants. Done!

name Sun). He is very kind to us. When he left us and went back to Beijing,
each student in the class wrote a goodbye letter to him. He almost cried.
Many years later, when I gradutate from high school, he went back to our
factory, I recognized him immedietly, but we donot speak. He just wathced us
playing Pingpong for some time and then left. All people there were his
students.

It was really messed up: boys got drunk, broke window glasses,
shouted in the middle night. Some were unable to get the degree
because of fighting. Nut nobody dropped computers. It was expensive

不过我觉得南开目前的停滞不前甚至落后的状况是由于南开教授们的素质。至少在我们系
还有无数的所谓工农兵大学生，他们顶多在外国作过visiting scholar，自己本身没有上
过gradute school,却在作着博导。南开的RESEARCH根本无法跟别的学校比。不过我还是
认为南开的本科教育很扎实，所以欧还是爱南开的说，hehe...(好在南开的历史使这所学
校声望还颇高，生源还是很不错的)

年近不惑而半路出家。相较这里各位，俺实在比较卢瑟，还请口下留情。谢谢！
熟悉(实在不敢用精通这个字眼)Python，C++； 有较多nix shell script的经验。有一
年开发web APP的经验，所用工具和语言是: Django, CouchDB, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/
jQuery。
刷lc有些困难，但基本还能啃下来，特别是用Python的时候。
只有一年的工业界QA/Tester背景，但用的是自产的automation tool。熟悉JIRA。
尝试找TE、QA的位置，语言面试(不过至今也仅面了Python)一般没有问题，但是多因为
automation的tools，像selenium之类的并没有实际经验，而没有下文。

I think you can sit before graduting. But you should have qualified
accoutning and business course.

I was crazy about scientific research untill I went to that univ... where I
realized most labs there are just doing nothing, of course, except wasting
tax-payers money...

less than 1 year, and the company should be responsible for those fresh
graduates launching another postion in the company...
If the whole company announced shutdown,well, look for jobs immediately. If
just the division, talked to HR to relocate to other division...

信号处理：要有gradute degree，2-4年业界经验（含postdoc），知识领域就是随机，
优化，传统DSP那些东西
光学：要有graduate degree，2-4年业界经验（含postdoc），知识领域物理光学，固
态器件，其他基本EE知识，学物理的也可以尝试
南加医疗器械公司，有medical device经验的加分。老板是名校控，排得上号的
engineering school的加分。

have not taken this path much earlier like most PhD students are doing
during their gradute school, but when I looked back each step and careen
decision I made, I think the I should not reget because at each stage I did
have my unique need and thoughts at that time being, our mind and evaluation
of ourselves are constantly changing as well, therefore I cherish what I
can do now and look forward!
