get a job immediately (not postdoc). Married before or in the school, the
wife/husband can get a master degree in 1-3 years while the other one is PHD
program. So both of them will work after the graducation. Once you have
work, in 1-5 years you can buy a house(depending in areas), and have a baby.
if your major is hard to get a job, or your wife/husband doesn't want to get
a degree, then LZ is a much better case.

anyone who made to the investment banking or trading side, at least not in
the first tier IB.
NYU or Columbia is way better. CCNY is a pretty good school as well consider
its super affordbility. If money is not a concern, pick Columbia or NYU. |

专业都差不多, finance和econ的master, 都是两年左右. 本来比较倾向City College
的, 公立学校, 学费最便宜, 两万刀左右 (另外两个要double了). 最近去了趟他们的
校区, 学校里面还不错, 但外面实在太吓人了, 137街挑战女生的极限啊.
不是什么牛人, 志向也没有多高, 只想让F2的生活更充实些, 不知道毕业后能否有希望
找到工作, 尽管知道纽约都是大牛出没的地方. 国内本科学理工的, 没啥金融基础, 去
年12月过了CFA一级, 现在等6月二级消息中, 通过的希望不大.

I knew 2 persons graduated around that time, one from Wharton, the other
from Kellogg. They didn't switch to the careers as they planned because of
the job markets and had to work in the pre-MBA industries. What they told me
is that if someone can't switch the career upon graducation, it's almost
impossible to switch career later. |
