房子倒是只有7或8，特别好的builder会出一些grade 9的，但价钱也就高上去了。大家

not do anything. However, if the grades haven't been finalized, I will give
him the better grade, and the better grade to the students ranked above him
too.
I won't give any special treatment to this student in any case, because any
favor given to this student is not fair to other students who received the

泥向下挖掉四个inch，然后浇水泥，作成grading slope， 把水往远离地基的方向排。
我的地基是slab-on-grade，因为浇水泥会贵好几千。 我想问一下有必要浇水泥做
grading吗，还是就把土挖了，夯实成grading就行了？谢谢。 |

多。一百多刀的hospital grade pump从来没听说过，倒是听说过不少号称自己
comparable to hospital grade的。ebay上二手的hospital grade最便宜也要两三百。

fight: excellent academic/afterschool performance, advanced mental
matureness, family tradition, social development, projects, reference and

应该还是不错的，有可能外部磨损多一点。这个价钱应该说是不错的，我都有点动心了
。如果要买的话先给TGS打个电话，问问他们这个grade是不是HK的grade，还是TGS的分

要其他3个学生到我办公室面谈。其中有两个学生我给了C，他们问我，他们也可不可以
appeal grade due to the bad group performance of that student。我说过了deadline，学
校政策是一定要14天之内appeal。我说，had I known the group problem earlier,
there may have been something that I can do. 他们后来抓住我这句话，硬说我说
过，如果他们没有错过appeal deadline的话，我会改他们的final letter grade。
最近我收到department chair的email，说这两个学生说我denied他们的grade appeal

请高手指点。
我根据自己的理解写了如下几点，请补充指正。
1，把房子四周的草清理干净。
2，挖地。（挖多深不知道）
3，填gravel（填多厚不知道）
4，铺landscape fabric.
5,填top soil,（填多厚不知道）做成positive grading。

近的土几乎跟slab一样高，说这层土壤需要remove掉，这样的话不grading的话，fence

(NI),实际上是还没有meet requirement。
分析原因，主要是孩子上学前间或的在国内呆过，所以学英语就段段续续的，现在是他
pick up英语的阶段，我们平时在家里都是说中文，基本上每天学校回来也没有额外的
学习英语什么的。
请教一下这里的爸爸妈妈们，象这种need improvement的情况是不是正常的? 是不是如
果在下学期里没有改变进而meet requirement那就不能继续上2nd grade了需要仍旧在
1st grade?
爸爸妈妈们有什么方法分享一下可能帮助孩子提高。看大家都在讨论上什么gifted

this coming fall. Already setup an appointment with school principle and her
teacher. Would like to utilize the great think tank in this board on how to
prepare the case, no matter you have successful stories or some lessons.

在华盛顿州爬了几年的山，多次经过Mt Baker，不过从来没有近距离和他接触，这个周
六，趁着难得的好天气，准备到一條從貝克山南侧直上登頂者過夜的High Camp的trail
，Railroad Grade走走看，这条trail的review非常吸引人。要到Railroad Grade
trail，要沿五號公路北上，转20號公路。來到里路标82英里处，转到Baker Lake Rd北
行12英里（turnoff is 0.2 mile after you enter the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie
National Forest），再左转NF12號走3.6英里的石子路（signed "Mt Baker National
Recreation Area")，最後右转進入NF13號走到底，将近5英里，就到达海拔3300英尺的
登山口。虽然NF12和NF13都是石子路，不过路面状况非常好。来到停车场，因为这里有
