golf职业选手成功的如过江之鲫，能打了比赛就有钱的都是少数。
前天和一个朋友吃饭，他的表弟在寻求nationwide tour的机会，提到400,000个
golfers里出一个money list上125以上的职业选手。
我刚查了PGA TOUR网站， 数据显示money list第125位（world wide)赚$187,133的奖
金，听起来可能比一个engineer强点，但他支出不会少于$100,000/年 （travel,
caddie sharing 10% + caddie's salary)。
我还差得太远了。而且随着时间推移，愈发觉得身体素质成为一个障碍了。只能寄希望
于下一代了，呵呵。 |

我已经记不清楚经历过多少次，从非常好的感觉到甚至连一个好球也击不出的状态。能
记得的两次：
2005年6月从New Jersey实习回到Orlando，在New Jersey感觉非常好的从短铁杆到长铁
杆,突然间，就什么都不会了。我能想象出的区别就是从匝暖还寒的北方春天回到温暖
潮湿的东南海边，从垫子上的练习到真草。沮丧了2个星期，把那套Titleist muscle
back铁杆卖掉，慢慢地找回了点自信。
上一次还是在2006年的11月，在近20天没摸球杆后，从国内回来后的第二天清早去打球
，依然有9洞+4的成绩,那时还在庆幸时，可不知什么原因，就什么都没了，tee shot总
是hook， Iron总是slice, 没有一样擅长，包括我之前最自信的推球。
在经历了2个月的挣扎后，从1月起又慢慢早回了感觉，而到了2月底或3月竟然达到了颠
峰状态，每一根球杆都那么信心十足，并且也很少让我失望，我能犯的错误可能就是错
误估计距离而错选了球杆。而在练习场，更象是个scratch golfer，或者职业选手，我

say, usually, 150 yards par3 for most golfers,
180-200 yards par 3 for most pro tees in most championship golf courses.
some extremely difficult courses have some 210+ par 3.
the longest par3 I've playeds are 240 yards, one is the ASU Karsten golf
course, 248 yards from the tip, I hit two balls into the water 'coz i didn't
carry my 3 woods, also I didn't want to use my driver.
the other one is a course in Irvine, 242 yards, at least I guess. But,

今天去了sterling hills， 我的home course. 很奇怪的一轮golf.
我的tee shot很好，我的golf game里，最自豪的就是driving, 比如今天的一轮，击中
了12/14个fairyway, 我的approach shot....我说也不错，没有任何mis hit，club选
择大多时候也很好， straight, pure, 可似乎，就是总错了方向。
最糟糕的是short game, putting, 3 putts n次。
就说这项运动，tee shot, approach shot和putting， 如果3项技巧都能放在一起，也
许就是个scratch golfer， 而大多时候，我就摇摆在这3项中的2项；特别是，当击出
很好的tee shot时，就不由自主的给自己施加压力在approach shot，希望击出的球越
靠近pin越好；而当结果实际上是远离pin时，失望的情绪有来了以至于putting就变得
非常心不在焉。
所以说，golf本质上是个mental game. |

he is 29 now, going to be 30 this year. and he will marry this year. his
finance is from the northwestern unvieristy he met at the school's bar.

球的运动寿命实在是挺长的，打完PGA TOUR， 50来岁再玩Champions' Tour. 忘了哪位
元老说的，“只要没老到Golf Cart也坐不稳，每次也挣个几千块”。
扯远了，PGA TOUR 和PGA of America的关系就像 NBA与 “职业篮球运动员与专业教练
员联合会（我杜撰的）”的关系。PGA TOUR是执行机构，负责组织PGA Tour，老年的
Champions Tour还有Nationwide tour。它旗下最有名的赛事就是The Players
Championship。而大满贯赛事则分别由其他组织主办，比如the U.S. Open 归 the
United States Golf Association, The Open Championship The Royal and Ancient

，另外也是因为忙起来了。
我的动作也在发生着变化，未知的原因。从一个半月前的信心满满，到现在半满。这里
的区别是，也是在2个月前悟出的一句话。
shoot under par和shoot high 70's/low 80's的区别是，shoot high 70's/low 80's
的球员，在执行一次击球时，脑海不仅在想象球的飞行轨迹，落点，还要思考挥杆的技
术动作；而shoot under par的球员脑海里全神贯注在想象球的飞行轨迹和落点 - 也就
是说，在球真真被击出前，在脑海里想象球如何飞起，在空中的路线，落在果岭的地方
，以及如何滚动到进洞。 基本上任何好些的高尔夫老师都会讲这些 - visualize the
shot。
在从加州移到Austin后的最初几个round里，我能将visualize the shot执行的很好,尤
其体现在我的tee shot上， 建立了很多信心。
但就如每位golfer都知道的， 一个swing总不能持续很久，无论什么原因。Tiger

you will know why. Sergio whined about the bad luck he got etc. I started to
dislike him after the spit incident. His attitudes in press conference make
me dislike him even more. He really is one of the top ball striker on Tour.
But he needs to be mature to win a major champ. |

experience:
1. finished a 4-class course
2. played on course about 10 times
3. practice at least once a week
equipment
old clubs(about 5 years old) from a friend
I'm a female. SO far I hit with 8, 9 and wedges very well. I'm still
learning to use 6 iron on the course. can't use driver so far. In order to
improve my game (at least for t off), I'd like to buy a hybrid or a wood.
I'd like to ask for opinions on it and when i should change the whole s |

golfer has to flatten it after backswing.
I like Ben's transition from backswing to downswing the most. Tiger's
transition is not as smooth and hard to copy.
Another thing is he played his best golf at age 41. I'd love to see if
Tiger
can maintain his swing 10 years later..

However, PA is much warm than MN, it's 50-60 degree right now, still can
play some golf.
some friends will visit us at thanksgiving, and we will go to Hawaii with
another couple for x'mas. no golf at all.
Try to work on some small changes and putting skill during the winter.
Hopefully, I'll close the gap between us next summer. Haha.

the problem for me is that golf is never a simple yardage game. i am sure
many other non-professional golfers share my feelings. it's not very
difficult to hit a few 300 yards drives in a round, but it's almost
impossible to avoid hitting a few wayward drives, into the rough, trees,
fairway bunkers, or even into the hazards. all of a sudden a theoretical
driver+wedge hole turned into a driver plus a recovery shot from an awkward
