GLD and SLV are all derivative fraud waiting to crumble. Stay away. Plus
they are classified as collectibles having to pay a 28% gain tax, higher
than the capital gain tax. They are not backed by real physical metals
and yet carry physical collectible tax, how screwy is that?
You want to play gold fund try PHYS that is managed by more trustworthy
people and pay ordinary capital gain tax. |

GLD and SLV are managed by two of the biggest naked short sellers in the
COMEX. When the global run on gold and silver kicks off, and it will in
not too distant future, you bet these guys will pull the physicals from
these ETFs to cover their ass in COMEX. |

are questionable. |

My ave cost is about 158. Typically something will go up after I cut my
position, but I just do not feel well about GOLD positions. Anyway lost $2.5
per share for 600 shares.
I also took profit on my 500 shares AGQ at 48.8 (my ave cost is 46.8). So I
made $2 per share for 500 shares. |

stay under it. But it did happen this week and I just feel that I was wrong
about my view on gold and want to correct my mistake during today's bounce.
So I cut all my gold positions. You are right that if I did not buy GLD in
the first place, I would probably keep my AGQ shares. I just did not feel
well and want to get rid of all my bad actions and will start over. |

and then it goes down 20% from X and you still happily wanna buy more.
If you don't have that strong belief in gold you'd better not play it.
Too volatile for casual traders. Btw, GLD does not count as real gold
investment. Only physical gold and some mining shares do. |

We are in the middle of the mother of all financial bust. When a bust
happens your bank account could default, your 401k could, your future
account could (MF Global anyone?). So could that little GLD thing.
If buying gold is for long term safety then why not go for the safest
which is physical gold first and everything else takes a backseat. |

2000以下的黄金就比较难了。

上个月黄金上涨了6%左右。期间人们通过ETF大概买入了75吨。交易额大致在4.5个
billion上下。美国现在每个月QE 40 billion，所以如果有1/10流入黄金市场，就能支
撑这种买入幅度。当然1/10大概太高估了，可是因为世界性的量化宽松，美国的印钞机
只是全球白热的印钞机群的一部分。因此黄金的突破在资金面不会有任何问题。心理面
，08年以来信用货币形象的崩溃是用一代人的时间也难以修复的 （年纪大一点的朋友
可以回忆一下十年前美元在人们心目中的地位），即使股票和房地产市场回稳，黄金在
投资组合中所占的份额也不会迅速下降。再加上央行储备因素，中国印度因素作为背景
，我认为可以坦然地long黄金，如果你是中长期投资者的话。
短期看，1800左右的压力太大，可以考虑突破后再买。大体是GLD 175的位置。如果突
破不了（我认为可能不是很大），大概还要回调一段，但回调幅度应该不大。如果回调
，我会加量买入。
