Radiation 培训中讲到的说：

是你在不懂装懂
自己开业或者小group practice的产科医生当然可能会自己给高龄产妇做遗传咨询，但
是大医院（如八年哥夫妇所在）有专科遗传医生，产科医生一般都会refer孕妇去见遗
传科的。原因很简单，产科医生没有必要花时间精力做自己并不擅长的事情，遗传科的
则应该得到发挥自己长处的机会，患者也应该得到尽可能专业的服务
遗传科又分genetic counselor 和clinical genetic physician。GC就是两年硕士毕业
，医院要付给她们的工资一点都不高，但是她们专门就做遗传咨询所以遗传病相关水平
可能其实比产科医生高得多。但是genetic counselor往往在结束counseling的时候，
由clinical genetic physician 来再跟患者谈一下，看看GC的谈话过程有没有什么遗
漏的过程，这样一方面以比较短的physician time保证了遗传咨询的质量，又可以向患
者的保险公司charge更多的钱。
