发帖数: 589 | 11 这次玩前做了一些功课，好多都没用上，在此贴出来，希望能对其他人有些用。
顺便再说几个小地方：
1、我们发现在高速上隔一长段没有加油站的时候，如果是快进城市了最先出现的那个加油站基本上是最贵的，接下来的出口会便宜一些，最多有便宜4毛。
2、我们每天的行程基本上都和GPS给出的时间差不多，很顺利，只有快到LV和LV的时候会堵车，I-40，AR、TX和OK限速是70，NM和AZ是75，我们一般都开到限速或者再多个5-10mi，还能省出加油的时间。
3、我们被警察叔叔拦过两回，一次是12月25日，一次是1月1日，看来美国警察假日也不休啊！

我原来也进过一个fountain。结果没有猫喝，只有猫攻击。以Fluffy为首－－天地良心
这fountain就是为了Fluffy才买的。。试了一个星期，每天都是地上厚厚一层水，从没
见他们喝过。他们还是喝静止的水和我杯子里的水，而且每天给他们的罐头里也没少灌
水。所以就放弃了。
后来我又心痒痒，在amazon上找到一个比较popular的water fountain。结果其中一个
review说，有一天他们家的猫突然死了，舌头是黑色的。鉴于猫死在water fountain旁
边，加之家里有短暂的断电，他断定猫是在water fountain喝水的时候被电死的。。这
个故事是否属实无法考证，不过我是彻底被拔草了。。 |

着fountain，一边低头喝水。一低头就不出水了。好多次我看着她在那舔fountain，老
师说她在玩。我已经不知跟老师说了多少次了，娃在摆弄fountain的时候，要么给扔她
个杯子，要么帮她一下。娃渴了回去跟老师说“cup",但老师根本不理，不到统一和水
时间是不给杯子的。

1. 峡谷区（CANYON Area）
黄石大峡谷：峡谷区的主要景点，从上瀑布到Tower瀑布长20英里，深800到1200英尺，
宽1500到4000英尺。黄石大峡谷在地质上是非常年轻的，形成于一万到一万四千年前，
此前这里可能还有另一个峡谷。由于缺少野外勘测，峡谷的成因目前还不清楚，我们只

经过几番辗转，我终于来到这个名叫西黄石的小镇，载我到这里的Shuttle司机把我撂
下后面带不解的看着我：他知道我不会开车，也没有同伴，他很好奇我能用什么方式搞

事先了解这里有Tour Bus，可四月中旬的黄石小镇一片冷清，虽然天空晴朗，却看不到
几个游人，只有偶尔过往的车辆。这情形很难让人把这和举世闻名的美国黄石国家公园
联系到一块。我开始担心我的黄石之行有可能打水漂。
推开Visitor Center的大门，里面的摆设颇有些林中猎户风格，迎面是一头野牛仿真半
身模型，挂在墙上，仿佛正欲破墙而出。大厅的一个角上放着木制休息桌椅，墙上挂着
麋鹿头部模型和黄石公园内各种鱼类的模型，形象栩栩如生。
迎接我的是一位40多岁的白人女工作人员，互相问好后她拿出地图，熟练地标记出在这

。基于昨天的运气，本来想多睡一会赌一把Castle Geyser不会提前喷发，不想就此错
过黄石的一个主要喷泉，心中无限惆怅。好在Old Faithful Geyser无愧于老忠实的称
号，在我们吃完早饭返回旅馆结帐时再一次喷发，给我们一点安慰。
今天的安排是游览Upper Geyser Basiny以外的景点。昨晚下了场大雨，雨后的黄石空
气澄澈，色彩鲜明。 首先奔向Firehole Lake Drive，目标是Lower Geyser Basin最大
的可预测喷泉Great Fountain Geyser。这是一条单行车道，路上看到的Firehole
Spring让我们惊奇不已，小捣蛋也被不时冒出的水泡逗得哈哈大笑。

sign in front says "the coins in the fountain belongs to Rome Gov that will
be use on public maintenance and charity. Collection coins from the

几乎所有的fountain也都有类似的问题。 以前听化学系的讲的， 他们还搞过一个小
proj, 实测80，90年代以前的fountain的水铅都超标， 具体来源于管道还是fountain
里的链接就不管了。
nyc自来水的mail里也是这么说的， 信誓旦旦说他们的入口检测绝对没问题。 出口超
标没有办法， 建议早上起来打开水管先放1分钟水。
对于楼上的那种无知者的无畏， 不用太计较。 |

。女的浙江人，男的口音好像北方人。男女年龄差别看起来比较大。去年底才搬进入住
。不太懂英语。
两周前他们左右的邻居找到我，要我做翻译去给他们交流一下。原因是这家土豪后院的
fountain 把水停了，结果里面的水成污水了，每天晚上来了很frog在他们家后院欢唱
，搞得左右邻居睡不好觉。想让他们把fountain的水清洁或者抽干，撒点repellant,把
frog驱走。
十天前，我跟那两家邻居去了同胞家，请他们照顾一下邻居们的感受。他们说fountain
的水是要园丁来浇花的，不想放干，但是他们会想想用什么办法把frogs赶赶。
今天早上，同胞的邻居就给我短信了，说情况根本没改变。他们还专门去home Depot买
了驱赶剂送到这家中国同胞家，但是他们不愿用，说是有污染。同胞的邻居让我去跟他
们再沟通一下，想到我是中国人，他们刚从中国过来可能不了解这边的情况，再沟通一
次，如果不行，他们就报告HOA了。
我想想这事跟我没关系，他们要去HOA就去吧，但又想，毕竟是中国人，闹大了还是丢

今天打算去大名鼎鼎的old faithful，早上一大早就起床，按照原计划浩浩荡荡的出发了
：
第一件事就是到麦当劳买了一天的伙食，切好西瓜上路。先到Fire hole canyon看瀑布，
路上被一个印度gg跟了好久，很不爽。然后去fountain paint port，发现这里景色不错
，便开小路，看到Great fountain geyser等4-5个不同的景点。
记忆最深刻的就是下面这个小火山了，车子刚到那里的时候远看温泉喷得好高，甚是壮观
。我赶紧停好车子，整理头发，稍作装扮，刚下车支好三角架打算自拍，it居然不喷了。
我那个毁啊，苦等30分钟，仍不见一点再喷的架势，悻悻离去。看来这黄石的喷泉等不得
，关键时刻mm们就不要注意头型和装扮了，抢时机才是硬道理。
告别Great fountain geyser，继续前往midway geyser basin里面的Grand prismatic
spring，之后去upper geyser看了Biscuit basin和black sand basin。这个Grand
prismatic spring实在是 |

。要买那个无色无flavor的（就是Original啦）。
过滤水是不是水龙头过滤的那种？我记得哪里看到说不要老给瓶装水。我一般就给凉开
水，倒进drinking fountain里。然后fountain里自己还有个filter。
估计你家咪喜欢流动水，上个drinking fountain吧，呵呵。 |

跟fountain塑料有关系，这几天打算重新开始用发现fountain坏了。。如果真要买还是
买不锈钢的，可是我一直挺后悔买了这个。。 |

发帖数: 117 | 48 家里一只exotic一只persian, 喝水好像没有太大问题. 有一个DrinkWell的fountain (
Drinkwell Platinum Pet Fountain 168oz)和一个方形的很深的破塑料盒子. 两个水碗
都经常用, 用fountain的时候也是喝碗里的不喝流下来的.
exotic喝水还挺干净, 最多就是下巴都湿透了, 一般会自己groom掉, 或者蹭到床上沙
发上之类的... persian毛太长, 有时候胸毛都湿了, 再进litter box... 全是沙子...
不过两只猫的毛都不会湿很长时间, persian毛干掉之后有时候会打结... 每天刷一遍

警局里面的警察除了黑人基本都非常礼貌和耐心，到了法院的看守所就完全不一样了，
这里执行的警察全部是Correction Department的，素质非常低，毫不夸张地说，一半
以上Correction Officer跟holding cell里面被抓起来的人看起来一个德行，他们在外
面聊天满嘴都是脏话。
刚来的时候，先通过medical evaluation，如果有medical condition特别是mental
condition的话就会被转到一个更森严的地方，而且会有一个一周的holding，然后才排
期上庭。通过了这个medical evaluation，被送到一个central holding cell，里面大
