用turbotax 抱税，上半年租房，下半年买房。买房的税和利息可以计入费用。租房的
租金为何turbotax无法抵扣?
I use 2 8829 forms for two different addresses. In the form for the rental
place, Line 26, smaller of line 15 or 25. Line 25 is rental expense, line
15 is re tax and interest. Since rental place use for business, line 15 is
0, rental expense from line 25 is not picked up and take as deduction. Is
this right? |

今天收到IRS一封信，说our records indicate that you may be required to file
Form 8854, initial and annual expatriation statement
想请问各位，这个表是属于我该填的吗？不是的话，如何给IRS解释清楚？

这个8823也就在学校的时候学校要求填过，公司从没有填过。这个意思是不是，你要

or separation。
我是J1 第三年 还在免税期，没有拿Child Tax Credit，也没有拿Additional child
tax credit.
为什么还需要补填 form 8332，这个什么意思啊？谁知道 请讲讲？

我们没有离异，只是孩子不在这里。
我上次填的时候，就是一不小心，看不太清楚这个意思，所以选了“did not live
with you due : to divorce or separation”
我也是在 Form 1040里面， 没有拿Child Tax Credit，也没有拿Additional child
tax credit.
所以后来让补交 Form 8332！

me to bring the original A-797 form. He told me that it is not H1's A-797
and H4's A797 form is supposed to be provided by the company or university.
Is this like I20 for F2?

绝对的弊，没看出任何好处，以前是一封EVL，HR即可以写，而且文字可以稍微模糊，
比如engineer变成同一行业的product manager什么，都可以写的看上去很接近。现在
的Form J必须有律师，有的ID比如BlackQueen特别喜欢wishful thinking，认为很简单
不需要律师。这是根本不可能的。任何一个正规公司，牵扯到移民表格，尤其是大大的
关于什么misrepresentation的warning，没有任何一个人会为了你的方便把自己的
career搭进去。对于公司HR来说，找律师对她自己是有百利而无一害。
这个表另一个比较恶心的地方是，本来可以用EVL模糊的地方现在要放数字code来定量
，模糊的可操作性一下子变得小了很多。以前可以糊弄经理写封差不多的信，现在绝无
可能了。

根据以前网友的汇报，有不少主动交完体检表的，RFE还会来要，不知道是不是USCIS把
补交的体验表弄丢了，结果还要重做体检报告。
J Form也是有人收到Receipt了，有人没收到。
如果不是很着急要卡，可以等两、三周看看，但不如找HR再要一份J Form，找医生再拿
一份体检表（问问你的体检医生，可不可以不做检查，重出一份体检报告），把RFE赶
快回了。

我form上面是这样的,primary beneficiary是lp, 100%, contingency beneficiary是
老妈, 100%。
今天老婆看到form的copy就很不爽，说我为什么要把我妈放到contingency
beneficiary， 是不是觉得她会比我妈早死(原话)。。。老婆和我妈关系一直不好，
但我还是没法理解老婆为什么会不爽，弄得自己也很郁闷，没心情上班。
大家能说说老婆这种反应正常吗？ |
