事件发生在休斯顿郊区的哈里斯县Cypress市。一月三十日，警察接到这家人中的爸爸
的同事报案说他没有上班，于是上门检查。发现一家四口的尸体躺在自己家中不同的房
间里。四名死者均头部中枪，有窗户被打破。初步怀疑是凶杀案。
由于案件性质，当局不可以公布死者名字。但是，从公开的资料可以找到，该房子及车
道上所停车辆的主人都是50岁的孙茂业（音译自Maoye Sun）。他的妻子是49 岁的谢梅
（音译自Mei Xie）。他们有两个儿子：Timothy（9岁）和Titus （7岁）。俩小孩最后
一天上学是在一月二十三日。之后学校因为天气的原因有两天停课。暂时没有人听见过
枪声。不排除凶杀案是前几天就已经发生了的可能性。公开的资料显示该夫妇于2000年
