Gronkowski had sat out the drive that led to the score, and was effectively

u know it, good feeling comes and goes..haha..
but it was really sweet. I was next to Scott, the pro. He is amazed by my
ball striking.
there are two ways I use it often to judgy a good swing - (1) the
capability of hitting the long iron, like 4, 3. (2) use the different driver
by one swing
The swing I am working on months seems paid off completely yesterday. Yes,
the power from the right arm, forearm.
I will share more time on the short game now. |
|
i***t 发帖数: 177 | 14 the power from the right arm, forearm?
I do not get it. Theoretically right arm is only assistant to the left arm
who leads the swing. Is my understanding wrong? |

another question is these days i found i can control direction by turning my

side , it wont go left side, that makes easier to control. after hit 3000+
balls in a month i got some feelings just want ot check with highhands. and

how to rotate leading hand forearm? |
|
ET 发帖数: 10701 | 17 i would not say it's not right, but the reality is.. it's so hard to control
your wrist, from my understanding. If you read some articles about the
wrists (left & right), they, most likely, are supposed to be kept as still as
possible.
The right forearm power makes a lot better sense than the wrists. Still, it'
s an advanced topic. believe or not. |
|
p***t 发帖数: 51 | 18 I meant that hip rotation starts the down swing, but at the beginning arms
and wrist should hold up to store the energy, when the shoulder squares, and
arms are in front of body, it is time to swing or whip the forearms
actively, and wrist will unhinge naturally. I feel like that hip and
shoulder rotation is the first power source; arms falling down naturally
gives the second kick, but without whipping arms, i do not think i can even
reach 200 yards...
Again, it would be very interesting to hear |

forearm of right hand, the "pull' movement instead of push..
but... |
|
ET 发帖数: 10701 | 20 pull.. yah.. it's kind like "the hands PULL club head".
right forearm is movement? it's more like "chop"
比如你用斧头低手去砍一个矮的树桩时手前臂的动作。
因为你的球杆头和杆是个L形,所以你不会得到"砍"球的效果,而是将球SWEEP起。
当然,这里依然还有个the timing between hip rotation and shoulder rotation.
actually, when I showed my swing to my friend, Scotty, I showed "different
grib, different posture" or whatever, I was still able to strike ball
straight for all irons.. it's pretty funny. |

The key for proper weight shift is to start the down swing with your hip

For me the down swing sequence is:
Hip turn, Shoulder turn, (which will pull your straight left arm down, drop
your right elbow into the slot by your right waist), hit hard with right

t***w 发帖数: 165 | 39 Swing is not on plane, practice with Medicus dual-hinge will help.
At top of back swing, try to keep right forearm a bit more vertical (
perpendicular to ground). |
|
t***w 发帖数: 165 | 40 This is a common problem for beginner with slow swing speed. You will have
no gain in yardage with the longer irons.
Two solutions:
1) replace your 3,4,5 irons with hybrid clubs
or
2) do a little bit of weight training to strengthen your forearms
(do hammer curl with weight that you can perform 5-8 repetitions, do 3
sets, 2 to 3 times a week. You will also gain distance in your 6 iron.)
PS: Don't worry, it is not that easy to get bulging muscle. : ) |

t***w 发帖数: 165 | 41 Totally agree with diminishing return of weight training vs. distance, for
us amateur. For those of us who don't lift anything heavier than a bag of
grocery or a laptop, in our daily grind. The initial gain in distance is
quite significant, usually 15-20 yards off driver.
My golf buddy gained almost 40yds off his drive by holding his 40lbs little
