My D700 has the foggy LCD issure also. The only time I notice it though is
when out in bright light and look at the screen at a bit of an angle I
think. It doesn't seem to affect performance and I forget all about it

Georgetown are all pretty safe places (people may have different opinions on
Dupont Circle, but I think it is safe because there are always a lot of
people, even late evenings). Georgetown may not be good for you as it has no
Metro. There are a number of apartment bldgs in Foggy Bottom and West End;
most are relatively expensive. A big complex in Foggy Bottom called Columbia
Plaza has fairly spacious apartments.

去年某天带父母去DC时在某个限速40的路段开到了51.这是后来收到的ticket上写的,ticket上还说罚款$100,不服的话可以申请hearing.
想着马上就离开美国了,还没上过法庭(我以为hearing就是要上法庭的),人生太不完整了,就回信要求hearing.时间定到了本月7号中午,这也是我7号那天那么晚才开始搬家的原因.
7号那天我还跑去苹果店去排队,一边等的时候心想,我去怎么说呢.看了下automobile版精华区,好像人家都会去做个calibration,证明仪表有误之类之类的.可是我啥准备也没做啊.越想越心虚,越想越后悔没交了罚单了事,越想越觉得还要

Westlake is a safe area, and you could get a studio very close to the bart
station for around 1035$ (last Aug; not sure how much it is now).
Safe areas in SOMA/North Beach usually cost more than 1.8K for a 1-bed.
My friend rented out one of her rooms for 1450$/mo in SOMA (w/o parking).
Sometimes, you can find a good deal on craigslist. You just have to be
