去Zion的意义不是太大了，要么就Bryce和Arches吧。去Arches记得提前定那个fiery
furnace的tour,我觉得很不错。不过Arches一天有点紧。两天比较好。 |

个就是double o arch (不是double arch),一个是那个标志的大拱门，还有就是fiery
furnace我觉得很有意思。 |

Zion比较有名的trail: angel's landing和narrows,但是这两个你有老有小就不好说能
不能走。另外我假设你不打算去subway.如果在Zion打算认真爬山的话，2天比较好。
Bryce景色不错，适合在上面看看风景。要走trail的话，像queen's garden, wall
street之类年轻人半天够了，外加看风景，一整天在Bryce够。根据自己情况调整。
Arches是我各人最喜欢的一个园子。我当时放了一天半。上午开车逛了逛，中下午走
double o arch,快傍晚的时候走delicate arch.第二天走fiery furnace. 你有老人，
要是腿脚不好的话，这些trail也不一定能走. |

发帖数: 1640 | 13 1. 如果我没记错，Fiery Furnace的permit每天是50个（人），旺季很容易sold out，
2月初不太清楚，你可以头天打电话到visitor center问。Devil's Garden不需要
permit。
2. 实际上，BLM网站上的官方说法是：如果前一天10个walk-in permit都没有人抽走，
那么才会第二天available on first come first serve basis。但是如果前一天已经
抽走一部分，剩下的一部分第二天还发不发，因为出现这样的情况极罕见，我还没有听
说过可靠的例子，不能十分肯定。我的建议是，不要指望有当天的permit能拿（几率比
你抽到第二天的还低），如果不甘心的话就头天打电话问visitor center。如果租的不
是四驱或者没有开沙地的经验，建议不要轻易尝试Coyote Butte South。如果陷车会非
常耽误时间甚至造成严重经济损失。

If you arrive at Moab at 6pm, probably you should skip Park Ave and drive to
Delicate Arch directly. The parking space there is quite limited. Of course
you should hike up unless you are disabled.
The next day you can drive into Arches NP again, take some photos at the
Great Wall, Three gossips .etc if you wish, and get to the devil's garden as
early as you can. Devil's garden parking lot will be full at about 8 am and

from 7pm to 7am Mon-Fri. I wonder how they can have two Fiery Furnace tours
per day schedule given the 7pm closing time?

hiking. Bryce and Zion are very close to Vegas, so you can visit them in
future trip to Vegas. You are better of to only visit Moab on this trip.
Moab has 3 parks near by: Arched NP / Canyonlands NP / dead horse state park
. Hiking Arches trail such as devils garden, fiery furnace, and delicate
arch will each take few hours and they are strenuous, so not a good idea to

从而又想起我读本科时写过一篇关于敦煌创建者的小小说。当时看到史书的短短一段记
载，说乐尊和尚在长安修行多年，突然出走西北，徒步数日，干渴不支。于落日之时突
见三危山上佛光万丈，千佛现身，三危山下现出月牙一泉。乐尊感恩，就此长住，开凿
出第一座敦煌石窟。读毕心有戚戚：长安浮华，庙堂虽安，经书万卷却也语言有限。出
走西北正是合情合理的学者的选择。而人的宗教皈依往往有各种偶然因素的推动：如果
不是干渴欲尽，乐尊未必见到佛光，月牙泉对他不会有那么大的冲击，敦煌会不会出现
石窟也成为悬疑。所以写了个英语小小说，寄托一下追寻理想的共鸣。
上买卖提后发现在这里写的好几篇文章都有朝圣者的影子，从《朝圣者的灵魂》，到

。大概十点左右，被ld喊起来，难得有半天不必围着孩子转，俩人跟中学生逃课似的，
兴高采烈跑到downtown找吃饭的地儿。这个piranha's好像跟pittsburgh的一burger馆
子有血缘关系，都属于那种大车店，小摊子起家，专给路过的司机供应快餐。我们到得
早，黑咕隆冬的吧台边一个顾客都没有，大大小小十几面电视挂墙上，播着不同的体育
比赛。老板长得像food台的guy fieri，俺看着就过瘾。waitress娇小玲珑的身体紧紧
裹在窄仄的黑色tank和仔裤里，裸着浑圆的双臂，上面刺满花绣。捡靠窗的位子坐下，
立刻上来巨大一pitcher黑啤酒，差不多两升的份量。这里是纳城为数不多的允许
indoor smoking的店，ld说要不咱们彻底放松一下？俺说那也得等回家不是。ld指指烟
柜说咳你想什么呢。俺说好，就问老板有没有不带嘴儿的骆驼，老板看怪物似的说没有

上衣是double-vented back, 后面开两道叉的，所以算中西合壁。

模式影响最为深刻的技术。不幸的是，人类的大脑结构很可能并不适应这种获取信息的
方式-沉溺于网络阅读的人在阅读专注程度和阅读深度上都有显著差距，阅读呈现出浮
光掠影的模式。因此我决定今年只读实体书。
《神之历史》-Karen Amstrong：作者是修女出身，讲述了耶和华从中东一个部落的神
祗，和希腊古典哲学结合，适应社会的变化，最后分别发展出三大一神教的历程。在剔
除掉宗教中个人心理投射和暗喻的部分后，我逐渐能体会到两千年来西方知识分子的历
程，个人需要宗教来排解生命中的苍凉感。
《How we decide》-Jonah Lehrer。垃圾书，作者把各种各样的现象用心理学和神经生
物学的理论乱套，得出一堆混乱的结论来。New york times bestseller的名头欺骗了
我，看来深度阅读还是要选择名家名作。
《朱安传》- 乔丽华。作为鲁迅的原配夫人，来自鲁老太太的礼物，朱安一直是一个在

啊不，还知道康乃馨好像啥都能代表，多数情况下都可以适用、不会送错。
你贴的那一打薰衣草玫瑰图片貌似是假花，我是从叶子判断的。

KFC在中国基本已经完全本土化了。美国这边还引进了不少中国开发出来的产品，比如
中国卖得最好的香辣鸡翅（这边叫hot wings），之后又引进了奥尔良烤翅（叫fiery
wings）。
引进奥尔良烤翅的时候闹了个joke。广告上写的说这翅膀大，是普通翅膀的1.5倍大小
。有老美真的比过，确实是1.5倍，然后comment说这翅膀你吗没法吃了，不知道用了多
少激素，大家散了吧云云。 |

好佛版举行活动，借机可以指手画脚，品头论足一下国家公园，嗨嗨。片子大部分是到
此一游，希望尽量反映公园的特色。
1: Arcadia
总体一般，在东部也算说得过去，龙虾很好。有一个什么悬崖的Trail听说很好，没来
得及去。
2: Arches
拱桥国家公园是我最喜欢的公园之一，去过3次，一定要在日落前后去看Delicate Arch
，另外Fiery Furnace也不要错过，记得要在Visitor Center预订。Moab有一家墨西哥
餐馆很好吃。
3: Big Bend
大本公园是名副其实的大，从一头到另外一头要一个半小时。Lost Mine, Santa Elena
Canyon,The windows都是很好的TRAIL，山里真的有山狮，hiking要小心。
4: Biscayne
去得最早的国家公园，那时候连到此一游都拍不好。感觉没什么特色，说水清吧，比
Key West又差的很远，说风景吧，不如去Key West那条路上好，总之没什么特别印象。

回，就更别说云游了。买了相机之后开始跟朋友每半年出去一次，后来老朋友们陆续毕
业各奔东西，开始尝试自己跑，最近比较迷西南。不过数来数去国家公园一共也就去了
八个，跟前面二十几个的达人不能比。考虑到佛版特色，就按时间顺序贴一下片，这样
器材进化史也就顺道写了。

此一游，希望尽量反映公园的特色。
