通常，失眠症带给人的折磨是一种无法忍受的痛苦，然而对DARK TRANQUILLITY来
说，黑暗中的那份宁静却让人体验到前所未有的美妙感觉：血液的流动，失落的愁绪，
都以百倍的放大在黑夜中呈现出来，痛苦的极致就会另有一种难以名状的快感。
90年代早期的死亡金属已经发展至比较成熟的阶段，当然其局限性也是显而易见的
，固定的模式和相对单调的表现手法已渐渐束缚了它本身的发展。与此同时瑞典一批极
富创新精神的艺术家们已经在酝酿一场改变死亡金属面貌的运动，这便是著名的"哥德
堡之声"(Gothenburg Sound)，而DARK TRANQUILLITY正是发起这场革命的奠基者之一。
成立于1989年冬天的DARK TRANQUILLITY其原始成员包括Anders Friden (主唱)，

1. simple biography. 比如总统的啦，科学家的啦。 俺记得前一阵有人推荐过一套
first biography俺也借过，不过有点简单了。 总之孩子喜欢哪类人就借哪类，图书馆
多得很。
2. American girls系列。 就是卖娃娃那家。 每个doll都是不同历史时期的，有自己
的故事，还挺有意思的，也算一种历史书吧。 应该比一般的历史类好读一点。大概是3
年级左右的水平。
3. magic school bus. 有很多人喜欢，科普类的，不过俺家虽然有一堆，俺闺女从来
没喜欢过。。。
俺女儿从前也是rainbow magic的fan, 到现在也不是很喜欢non-fiction的，尽管俺给
她推荐过很多。但俺小女儿，从小就不喜欢故事书，喜欢介绍动物的啊，人物的之类的
。。。这个一部分是天性吧，也不要太强求了。 俺现在的做法是多给她推荐些有经典
一点有内容的书，简化版一般她自己也能看，难一点的跟她一起看，稍微帮她提升一下
“深度”。 这一类的推荐比如：

years, disasters in the world, black hole, etc.. Kids his age are reading
Percy Jackson but he is just not intested.
I guess this is just a phase, and I'd leave him to read what he is
interested now - it is possible that soon he will be no longer intested in
anything like this. This is a great opportunity to learn , too. |

kill bill2 is quite good and we still can see a lot of Q.T. style in it.

学到的MTH， 我借会家很久，他就不自己看，我给他读，他也不爱听，我给他讲西游记
， 他害怕， 不听。 这样的孩子怎么引导？

发帖数: 458 | 39 Non-fiction写起来其实比fiction简单，道理说清楚了就行。但同样的道理，写好了的
fiction的影响力要大很多，只可惜好的fiction作家实在不多。
以营养做比较，non-fiction好比食材；fiction好比佳肴。看non-fiction如果是当时
要运用，可以自己就吸收了；但如果只是知识储备，自身又没有相当的阅历的话，恐怕
就一定要跟“行万里路”结合起来。
fiction场景设置的好的话，能让人身临其境，对道理给出case study的效果。不是说
就不要实证了，而是从prevention的角度效果好很多。
我觉得是各有千秋。我自己现在读书大概fiction占10%的左右；大娃大概fiction占80%

数学好的人，语文的 fiction 方面通常不会太好。。。反之亦然。
non-fiction 就不同，non-fiction 总体来说跟数学很像。当然我说的
是数学，不是算术那种简单的东西。。。（当然，更不是鸡兔同笼这种以
brain teasing 为主）。。。而是至少是类似 图论/场论/文法 之类的。。。
其实我个人觉得在语文/英文里面，fiction vs non-fiction 是基本背道而驰
的两个东西。这么说，non-fiction 才需要真正的 reading comprehension
的能力，fiction 需要的是 read emotion 的能力。这两者由大脑不同皮层
来分管。。。 |

觉得，那就是娃已经被白痴化了。。。
楼主讲的故事，本质是一个寓言（fable）。Fable 这玩意儿，其实就是
用 fiction 的手段，讲述一个 non-fiction 的道理。Fable 的关键
之处，是在于道理，而不在于情节。连 fable 跟 novel 都分不清，
娃都看不过去。。。随便买/借一本 fable 的书，就有几百个 fable
不止。。。十几个 fable 过去，问问题，娃如果有错误的 pattern，
对症解释就行了。。。一个 fable 翻来覆去，大人又不是专门搞教育
的老师，娃估计被搞烦了都说不定。。。
个人觉得，祖国的文科教育整体上蛮失败的。明显的一点，就是 fiction
vs non-fiction 基本一笔糊涂账。
当然，美帝这边，据娃老师说，从小学到初中高中，也是有 fiction
到 non-fiction 的跳跃的，不过至少老师都意识到这些。美帝图书馆也
有专门告诉娃 fiction 和 non-fiction 差别的书能借到。

另外图书馆借书的时候，借上一两本 fiction 就完事了。
通常读 fiction 不太需要推，人之本性。
你可能需要选合适的 fiction topic，通常喜欢 non-fiction
的，fiction 方面可能比较喜欢 mystery fiction 还有 history
fiction，你可以试试看。。。
罗密欧和朱丽叶嘛，其实也可以当心理学社会学案例读，您怕啥。。。

fiction / science fiction 等等这些内容复杂的 fiction, 而不是那些单纯王子/公
主/巫婆等等的 fantasy fiction。。。如果没有 non-fiction 的足够阅读量, 娃阅读
的 fiction genre 要到达 reasonably diversified 的程度, 是有很大难度的。。。 |

只要能达到学校对 fiction 的要求就成。
而且爱不爱读 fiction，跟读 fiction 的水平，也不那么直接。。。俺家大娃读
fiction 跟其它女娃一样会入迷，需要限定小时数。。。但她在小学里 PM Reading
Level 过关都是用的 non-fiction（我们这里小学老师是先给 fiction 测 PM level，
如果没到 30 才会给 non-fiction 再测，然后取 whichever higher）。 |

这个首先取决于兴趣而不是 working memory，就好比能把韩剧里人名搞得一清二楚的
，估计是心理系的比较多，马工系多半不行。你懂的。
所以这个不一定是 working memory，可能就是潜意识心理层次的不合作。
而对于 non-fiction 娃，基本对小学版 lexile 800+ 的 fiction 不太会感兴趣，因
为基本是唠嗑。
而实际上在小学阶段，non-fiction 比 fiction 更难，即使是差不多的 lexile。这个
图书管理员就知道，我带小娃去图书馆去问哪里找老师建议的 reading level 的时候
，图书管理员一看，二话不说就直接带到 fiction 书架介绍图书馆为娃娃们的 color
tag。
然后我就怯生生地问了一句 non-fiction? 图书管理员说 non-fiction 按 topic 分类
，但也有娃娃的 color tag，然后带小娃到她喜欢的 topic，但离开以前想了想，留下
一句说 non-fiction 有可能要降一级 color tag，让我们自己掌握。

的两个不同范畴的概念。不过这不奇怪，祖国的教育就是故意混淆这种
区别。。。
history non-fiction 是属于 non-fiction literature 的范畴，里面那
不应该叫情节，叫 timeline of events 。。。 否则按照你这么说，律师们
都在陪审团前面描述情节，绘声绘色。。。
reality fiction 还是 fiction，本质上还是 fantasy。打个比方，就好比
science fiction。 |

non-fiction 的问题。。。
小学低年级时，就算是 non-fiction 的内容，还都是用 fiction 的形式写的。。。
另外公共图书馆里的娃版 non-fiction，一般至少 lexile 600+，普通娃一般三年级才
看得懂。。。
当然，这里天才娃是常态。。。小学一年级 lexile 不到 900L，出门都不好意思跟人
打招呼。。。这种情况，幼儿园就得上 non-fiction。。。 |
