有没有人知道哪里可以弄到厚度尺寸是2.25",2.5" or 3"*5'*10' 的medium density
fiberboard,用来造弥拟模型.我查了中国好象有很多制造商,或者美国其他城市有什么
大的MDF ditribution company介绍一下.哪位牛人能帮帮忙.万分感谢!!

主要是一般家具都不使用真正木料，而是用木屑和胶水压制的fiberboard,这种东西气
味特别大，可以先放到车库，大概也得个半年，才能没味。 |

我买的这些家俱中除了沙发的frame是实木的之外，其他的都不是。实木在高档的传统(
classic)风格家俱中使用的比较多，但很多现代风格(contemporary)的家俱多使用玻璃
、金属的元素。如果需要木质的板才，档次高一点的现代家俱多使用一种叫做HDF(
hardboard or high-density fiberboard)的材料，这种材料比ikea的那种很软的
particle board，或者胶合板(MDF, medium DF)硬度要高很多，而且不需要使用沾合剂
。比起实木，HDF更不容易变形，而且不会crack，表面均匀平整。一般处理后的HDF表
面都会上漆，在家俱外部的一般使用烤漆处理，提供类似金属或者玻璃风格的镜面反射
。烤漆后的家俱防水防潮，表面特别容易清洁，而且容易配色。由于现代风格家俱以简
洁为美，所以很多HDF连wood veneer也不会贴。
我买的餐桌据说有18年了，看上去表面跟新的似的。我自家的厨柜也是白色烤漆的HDF
，应该有超过20年的历史了，但看上去表面光洁如镜，没有变形，也没有任何用旧的痕
迹。 |

首先，实木或者木纹的橱柜在传统风格的厨房中使用多一些，但如果屋子是现代风格的
，木纹反而显得老气和繁琐。现代风格的厨房，上等的橱柜是用high density
fiberboard (HDF)
，或者质量比较好的MDF，然后外面上烤漆。HDF质地均匀，不会像实木一样开裂或者冷
热变形。烤漆表面很容易清洗，防潮，而且颜色光泽更容易与其他家具匹配 |

because the alternatives, plywood, MDF, particle boards, are simply glued
wood laminates or saw dusts; the low quality ones, especially particle
boards, deform over time and can't tolerate moisture, scratches and weight.
solid wood can be refinished when scratched or dented, but it can chip or
crack. High quality MDFs, or HDFs (high density fiberboards), can be as good
as solid wood, and are widely used in contemporary furniture manufacture. |

down。我是想floating的装起来会方便一点，万一个别板以后坏了也好拆。
High Density Fiberboard不会就是和laminate差不多的东西吧？我的理解是，这种板
就是烂米上下贴点实木？ |

重檐的应该是除了佛塔，就是皇家了。
普通人家儿没有那么大的场面来靠重檐顶的建筑来镇。

你说那个油毡应该是asphalt shingle吧，我前儿提到的油毡应该是看不见的，因为不
能抵挡日晒风吹雨淋。你贴这仨图倒是有讲究。第一个如果设计上是全凭decking来挡
风遮雨，那么中间那堆石片就一个作用-压屋顶。因为屋顶本身其实很轻的，对它造成
最大伤害的往往不是自上而下的压力，而是风吹的时候从下往上的那个力，就是说设计
的时候得特别防止屋顶被风掀起来。自上而下的压力只在一个情况下比较危险-积雪。
如果积雪不能很快的融化流走，除了有可能把屋顶压垮，还有可能慢慢的找屋顶的缝隙
渗进去，然后就是热胀冷缩那一套，直到小缝变大洞，必须重新做。回到第一个图，南
方积雪不是问题，但是风大，中间那堆瓦片，客观上增加了屋顶重量，来抵挡风力。同
时也起一定的保护屋面的作用。
